if you mean docomo/soft bank, you can't find them at regular electronic shops (haven't seen any, anyway). 先達廣場 (Sin Tat Plaza) at mong kok sells them.

do not worry that u cant find a phone in hk. they sell SOOO many phones. try mong kok, they have those small malls where its ONLY phones/video games it covers the shops from top to bottom...its kinda shady but i've explored it.

i regret not getting a phone there since my plans ending soon

you can find cell phones almost anywhere in hk, but not japanese cell phones. you can find those in most electronic malls. when youre buying a japanese cell phone, find out which gsm network the phone can be used on and your local gsm. and remember to buy a hypersim that's compatible with your sim card.

Hypersim is basically a thin piece of plastic that goes directly under your existing sim card. You slip it in along with your phone so that the metal contacts of the hypersim touch the phone, instead of the original sim card. And then...somehow some magical thing happens, and your phone can be used! I'm not sure what purpose they serve for the japanese phones, but generally it's for unlocking the phone so that it's compatible with other sim cards.

In case you can't find one in Hong Kong, there's always deal extreme. I'm not sure if this is the right one, but it looks something like this. Only buy it once you're sure that it works. The website looks a little shady, but they definitely ship the goods, I've bought from this place quite a few times now, including the hypersim thing.
