first of all, im a guy and imoverseas so i cant help my frd out right now

so that i dont confuse u guys, first of all, my frd is Dana and her bf is Xander, and my other friend is Sam

ok, so on friday nite and saturday nite, Dana's boyfriend has been going to 'guys nite out'. so Dana stayed home.

i found out from another frd, Sam, who was there, that Xander cheated on Dana, on saturday nite.

at around 5am on saturday nite, Dana was on msn and told me that Xander has driven his drunk friend home, and she's waiting for him. after one hour of waiting, she said she was going to bed

then, just as she signed off, Sam signed on and told me that he just got home and he asked 'Did u talk to Dana tonite? do u know if Xanders home yet??'

then i said 'yeah she said Xander drove his frd home, she's been waiting for an hr and he hasnt been picking up his fone. hope everythings ok'

then sam said 'do you think thats true??' and i said 'what do you mean??'

and he said 'if i tell you, you have to promise me not to tell Dana' and stupidly i said yes, cos i wanted to know the truth

and so basically Sam said that Xander drove some girl home. While i was chatting to Sam at that moment, Xander was calling Sam to say that he slept with the girl and that he's so happy and wants to go clubbing again next week


now i dont know what to do, even if i tell Dana, what if she doesnt believe me. and i cant blow Sam's cover either. Sam said he is stuck in the middle between Dana and Xander. Whereas im stuck inbetween Sam and Dana


what do you guys think i should do? and im overseas at the moment.

Usually my go to advice in these kinds of situations is, "It's not technically any of your business, so you shouldn't involve yourself." But at the same time, I think it's important that she knows because she seems like she's really trusting and really caring of her boyfriend, waiting up for him and stuff, and it seems quite obvious that he doesn't feel bad about it and he's only going to do it again. If that's the situation, I think she deserves to know the truth. I think you should talk to Sam and tell him that that's what you think and if you can convince him to tell her the truth, that would probably be best, and if you can't, then you need to tell her 'cause it's the right thing to do.

There's a difference in this situation that doesn't make it like others.

The guy Xander said he was HAPPY about it. Not sad, not guilty, HAPPY.

The only thing you need to do is talk to your friend Sam, tell him to tell Xander to break up with Dana, if he doesn't, tell Sam to tell Xander he's going to tell Dana, or if it doesn't happen, you'll have to tell Dana yourself. (Because it's john teshed up if someone doesn't tell her, it's NEVER fun when someone you know is getting played.)

You should definitely talk to Sam about whether or not you (or both of you) should tell Dana or not.

From my point of view, Dana deserves the truth. Nobody likes to be lead on and to not warn a friend about being cheated on, I think that is really disrespectful. Xander may stop being friends with you and Sam, but hey, if he is going to be so immature and irresponsible, then it's his loss.

Don't say a thing to Dana. You don't really know the situation, you only heard it from Sam. You weren't there, you didn't witness him cheating, you have no proof. Sam's the one who has the proof. I agree with this. Dana NEEDS to find out from one of your two at some point, but you should talk to Same first, get the facts perfectly straight, and try to get Sam to tell her since he was the one who knows about it.

Honestly, if Xander is that big of a douche who's happy to cheat and can't wait to do it again, he's not a big loss if he gets pissed at you guys.

I agree.

First thing to do is go talk to Sam, and then figure out something from there. You're her friend, and she finds out that you knew and kept the truth from her, things just get uglier from there. Dana shouldn't be in a relationship where she doesn't know that her boyfriend is cheating on her and that he's not even committed to her only -- he was even happy about it. Dana doesn't deserve to be hurt like that. Xander sounds like a bum to me and not much of a loss if you guys end up on bad terms with him.
