You like her but are you friends/do you talk to her? Can you be a bit more specific.
If shes more than a casual acquaintance I do see what's wrong with asking something like "So are you seeing anyone?"
But if you barely know her/never spoken to her it's a bit difficult. Maybe talk to her about a common topic then bring it up casually so it doesn't look like your curious or not. If your a chicken, ask her friends. That always works if you want to find info out about someone you ask their friends.

You " Oh blah blah...........so you not hanging out with your bf or something" Don't emphasis on the bf part. Sound calm.

By now she will either be giggling and reply shyly and say " no and i don't have a bf" OR " No his busy". Voila! U hopefully got your answer.

But this really depends on how she will respond to the 'what are u doing this weekend'.

Also if u guys are friends and talk, can't u tell if she has a bf? I'm pretty sure she would have mentioned if she is.

How did you meet her then? if she goes to another school? through a friend?
If so you should ask your friend about her. Oh, if you talk to her alot then it should be fine, just be like "so are you seeing anyone" make it casual, and if she asks "why" just say "i'm curious is all". and DON'T go on about it, it just makes it obvious your interested. She wouldn't/shouldn't think any differently of you, it's just a general question. Unless you and her don't really talk about this sort of stuff.

You really don't need to ask her that question. If she goes out with you most of the time you ask her out, she probably likes you. Even if she's taken at that point, you can still win her heart. Besides, if she thinks like "what's he up to" then she probably doesn't like you.
