blackberries, cellphones, ipods you name it. its not just BLACKBERRIES. everytime i see 'young kids' with 'em, i feel more poor than i already am AND its extremely annoying cause they somehow showcase it with some attitude! personal experiance, not being ignorant!

well i'm in high school and have a smart phone - htc touch pro.
and fyi, i do use it to to open documents and power points for school and use it for keeping updated on news.
and i also admit i don't use all of its functions -- i mean who does with their phone?
but overall, i think it's fun to mess around with the tech features..
i also bought it by myself with the money i earned through my job.

on the other hand, my nephew (6) has a phone with a QWERTY keypad. -_______-
definitely unnecessary. i think it engages his brain more though bc he's already able to formulate his own sentences haha

it's really just another phone. some of them are just set as basic too.
you text, go on the internet, and call people with it, just like a lot of other phones.

my friends have blackberries, and it's a lot easier to type on it than those slide out qwerty keyboards.
the shape is cute too =)

I don't understand why either, it seems like parents today are spoiling their kids more and more =/

Im in college and all i use my blackberry for is for emails - so that i find out if classes are cancelled instead of waiting in the class for class to start/

Blackberrie's are fugly. Just my 2 cents laugh.gif
since they're kids, you'd think they'd go for something more cute and colorful, i know i would.
BB's are so bland and bulky-ish, except the pearl. But whatever, not my money. A phone is a phone.

Tell me about it.
My brother in law recently bought a iphone and he had a blackberry before. Seeing that his dad got a new phone my NINE year old nefu claimed the blackberry as his sleep.gif. It's ridiculous. This brings a whole new meaning to crackberry. I can hear the commercials now, " Crackberry addicting the generation of today."

hopefully when im 16 or something my parents will let me get a data plan and i shall just pay them for it.

My little sister had a blackberry until my sister bought her an iPhone, both have unlimited txt msging x __ x. & the other month I was looking at all these phones that I wish I had and my little sister kept saying “oh my friend has that phone, etc etc” & I was looking at $300 phones I know I can’t get anyways ; A ; -sigh- it’s kinda sad since my sister just started 8th grade and I’m a college freshman with a LG Chocolate LOL but I guess since kids are just starting to get cellphones they just happen to get the super new nice ones :/

lollerskates they definitely don't need them. from my pov, it's mostly about showing off your cool new 'toy' to schoolmates. you also have the kids who argue that they need these kinds of phones to surf the internet. I'm curious to know what amazing reason kids come up with these days to convince their parents to get a data plan for them at the age of..young. XD I really can't think of any reason for them to absolutely need to surf the internet outside of their house.
WELL. With that said, I'm actually not really bothered when I see kids with them, since it's just a cell phone. Almost everyone has one these days, so it's natural for kids to be whining and moaning to their parents about getting a cool cell phone too. I definitely did that with CD players ho ho ho. on the other hand, if their parents bought them a CAR or something at the age of 14...<__<

onice. my 888th post. XD
wat.

It makes sense to me.

Especially with the phone plans providing the phone as well so that the parent doesn't have to pay for the phone separately. Only 2 people in my school own a blackberry, both of them were seniors and were heavily reliant on their phones. I agree with the reasoning that teenagers do not require such a "business-like" phone, but I suppose it makes sense. It's not like most of them use it for many uses.. texting, instant messengers and calling.

im 13 and a freshman in high school.
i know some people in my grade who have blackberries and smart phones already.
im so envious because its just so cool @_@
but im perfectly fine with my pink samsung smile.gif

it honestly doesn't bug me. like i don't think anyone should care. it's not a waste.
as long as it's not harming anyone, right? i mean if the parents are willing to pay for it, then cool.
why should everyone care about younger people having good phones..?
:\ just my 2 cents.

oh wait.. cellphones kills gorillas sad.gif
banananananananananananana... BATMAN!

i remember over the summer i went into a tmobile store to get my phone fixed when a mom (in her late twenties, i assume) and her 6 year old son were in there. he was the cutest little thing, he was quiet and really smart. the only thing that burst my bubble was when his mom asked what phone he wanted. he immediately said "blackberry" and pointed to one of the newest blackberry model.

i nudged my boyfriend who shrugged his shoulders. while my bf took care of the rep, i overheard the mom say that he only wants a blackberry so it's easier to text her. while the mom and that rep was talking, she said that the son really knows his way around a blackberry because she has one. seriously, a 6 year old? i think that's just way over the line.

Personally, I don't really mind it.
I mean, the ones that get one just to be "cool" are the noobs.
They're probably like, what? 10 - 14 years old? Just getting out of elem?
"Hey, look at my new cell phone! Do you have one?! I don't think sooo~!"
Everyone, meet the new generation. They'll be running our world one day
Children will mature one day.
Just let them have their fun for a while, then we could KILL their shiett. >:D

As for the overall pricing on the bill, that's what the parents have to worry about.
Besides, a Blackberry from T-Mobile doesn't really cost much.
There are some for below $100 with contract,
& it's way cheaper than any of the new sidekicks.
