Had some chat about frying foods and people told me they re-used the oil.
Isn't that kind of bad? Even if it's like, vegetable oil or whatever.

it saves money. tbh, i'm not sure how "harmful" re-using vegetable oil for frying foods is. i understand oxidative rancidity, but what is the temp the vegetable oil goes to when used for frying foods?

Lol you are aware how much oil goes into deep frying right? It's like a waste if you just throw it out after one use. Cause when you're home you're not frying that much each time, not like restaurants, so it's still relatively clean. Just pour the oil through a mesh and a cheese cloth or something like that. And you should be able to reuse it three more times? Unless you're planning to fry like a hundred pieces of chicken than yea...don't reuse it the next time XD!

i dont see whats so disgusting about it unless theres like bugs floating around in it
i took catering and its perfectfully normal to reuse oil atleast 3 maybe more times.
id strain it onces it cooled down and then place it somewhere for storage (obv covered)
it saves loads more money and its better for the environment

^ Yeah it's really bad, but my parents used to do this. I hate to so I personally don't.
