TOUCH!!! wifi ftw. It's really handy when you just NEED to go on the internet while you're on the run or something. It's a lot more resourceful than the classic. For example, I forgot my phone at home today so I just went on eBuddy and msged my friend about my situation and problem solved!

Get the itouch! unless you really need the memory for the classic or something.
The itouch has more apps, wifi, etc.
It's so much more than just a mp3 player.

I don't like Apple but out of the two I'd choose Touch.

The iPod touch is much better, but if you want just a conventional mp3 player without all the extras, the iPod classic is a solid mp3 player. I have the iPhone and use my iPod classic as my mp3 player smile.gif

it depends what you want. i got my touch not too long ago & now i wish i had gotten the classic or nano. i'm pretty sure it's not just me, because others complain about some random crashes & restarts. mine has already done that once or twice & i barely have any apps on it. my old nanos never had those at all. besides, it's just easier to pause, play, your music. now i have to look everytime i want to pause a song instead of just feeling around. if you're big on entertainment, then the touch would be your choice. otherwise, get the original ipods.

definitely ipod touch and get the 32GB model because it's so worth it. only $299.99 and you have access to the Itune Store, get apps.. etc. but if you want a simple player, then you should just get the Classic.

sorry if i sound like advertising because I'm getting one on my birthday biggrin.gif

You should be choosing between the Touch and the Zune HD. biggrin.gif Touch if you want just a little bit more than an mp3 player, or Zune HD if you're getting it for the music.

Definitely touch! I have the classic and wish I have the touch. Maybe getting it soon. So dissapointed when I found out the new touch didn't have a camera :[ But if you're not interested in all those apps and wi-fi then get a classic. Really cheap for a huge amount of memory!

If you have a huge music collection - maybe music in loseless alac format and sound quality is important and apps/games/video watching aren't important to you then get the classic.

If you have a small collection and don't care about SQ that much and care about apps/games/etc then get the touch.

Purely for music get the classic, but a zune/cowon/samsung/sony are much better for music listening alone.

Do you just want to listen to music or be able to listen to music and play games?

Ipod Touch. It's less bulky and has the apps.

but if I lived in the States, I'd definitely consider buying the Zune HD wink.gif
Looks like a great piece of work. They just need to update it a bit.

^this this this.
My classmates just bought me a 3rd gen 32gb touch i love it to bits lol. Make sure though that if you buy the touch to get either the 32gb or the 64gb.. The 8gb one doesnt come in 3rd gen, its only 2nd gen so you have a slower processor, less dram, worse graphics, no wifi-n, etcetc.
