i buy lunch occasionally when i get sick of my mom's cooking...my dad can't cook for beans so i dont even bother trying what he makes.
i work at a learning center for kids after class and they have snacktime so i always get an order of snack for myself, it isn't much but hey free food!

making food is really...time consuming.
i usually buy lunch at a supermarket called spark or buy it at 7-11.
if i buy it at spark, i usually pay about $5-$6. the lunch is $3, the yogurt is $1 and my tea is $1.
dinner, i tend to eat frozen foods haha...

the 2nd week of school I made food: but my family ate it x_X.
Nothing is going so well, I buy grocerys for the household, make food and they eat everything X_X geez... how am I suppose to calculate how much I spend for myself.... D=
I'll try again... but I think it's cheaper for me to eat out.. (if I wanted to be a cheapo LOL I can just eat $1.07 spicy chicken sandwich from Carl's Jr.

LOL...sorry your lunch experiment was a fail, but if you can eat out for that cheap, then it's no big loss.

now, I live at home with my parents, I'm more likely to bring in food, but I haven't recently since my parents haven't bought any chicken. I eat out a lot still.
