Hey mac users.

I don't know if i am posting this post in the right place since there is a Mac thread but it is also an tech problem?? Anywyas I'm having some troubles shutting down my mac. I've never had this problem before....i made screen shots of what it keeps popping up whenever i try..

isn't FINDER the main one? so you can't quit it?? I don't know how to quit it and whenever i try to LOG OUT or SHUT DOWN, only desktop icons disappear and the top tab with the battery level, time, etc.. but it never turns OFF. i even waited until the 1 minute countdown ended, it didn't turn off itself.

anyone ever experienced this problem?? please help sad.gif
thanks

I'm not a mac user, but I believe you have to quit all applications that are open before it'll let you off. Just force quit the applications on your taskbar that are in use.

hold down the power button til the machine shuts down (won't ruin anything) then restart it again and see if you can shutdown regularly. It seems this is a pretty common issue among osx, but I believe there was a fix for it in recent os's like tiger and snow leopard-try updating your software too
