science majors are probably the most versatile and flexible of all the majors.
engineering, medicine, technician, nursing, biology, psychology, blah blah blah. The list goes on.

i finally settled on a major, biochem. but im fairly new to college life and just wanted to see all the other science majors out there and how they are like.

Which science based major are u?
Hows are the courses like?
Any thoughts of changing majors?

Which science based major are u? Chem switching to Biochem
Hows are the courses like? About 5 courses of bio and 6 or 7 courses of chem, 2 courses of physics, and 2 courses of calculus. The courses can be difficult because there's a lot of information you need to retain in a short amount of time. There's quite a bit of reading and math involved...
Any thoughts of changing majors? No way, invested too much time, money, and effort to back out now.

Which science based major are u?
Geoscience.

Hows are the courses like?
Easy at first. crystallography can be a challenge. And you have to have an eye for geometry in 3D as well as 2D at the same time. Classifying rocks and minerals can be a challenge when they all look the same. And i get lost in field work!
If in geophysics, you can already imagine all the phys classes you have to take. awful. at least no organic chem for me?

Any thoughts of changing majors?
not really. i wouldn't say I LOVED my major, but i'm sticking with it.

Biochem is a really popular major. i hope you guys are prepared for the competition!

Which science based major are u? nutrition

Hows are the courses like? very versatile.. had to take communications classes, psychology, sociology, bio, chem, biochem, math/sciences, food sciences, and then the core nutrition classes. nutrition classes are fun smile.gif because i know most of the answers the professors ask.

Any thoughts of changing majors? yes, but i'm not going to. culinary is very fun but nutrition is the path for me.

Which science based major are u? Biology
Hows are the courses like? Right now i have 5 courses. My science courses for 1st semester freshman year are the basics: Bio I, Chem I, and Bio and Chem labs. They've all been pretty reasonable from a difficulty stand point.
Any thoughts of changing majors? yep, everyday! but I'm going to stick with it for now.
