Okay so i was thinking about majoring in like advertising+media/commercial/communication designs bleh stuff haha.(not traditional art majors >.>) I'm not even quite sure what group they exactly fall in D: just advertising prolly? Well my friend is in Stony and she suggested me some schools but i'm not to sure which choices are best. And i'm trying to find a school somewhere in NY since i just don't feel like leaving too far >.> cuz all my friends and family are here but i'm most likely going to dorm :]
I have: The School of Visual Arts | Parson Institute | Rhode Island School Design | Carnegie Mellon so far.
I originally wanted to go to Stony Brook as well T_T until my friend told me the advertising classes their suck...I also did some research on Binghamton University and they had some majors dealing with advertising but i'm just not sure whether its better for me to go to a school that has other majors available to me or going to a school that specializes in the major i'm thinking of taking :< sorry for confusing anyone....i'm prolly not making any sense here >.> sigh. i'm just really confused.

lastly xP, anyone know what jobs would be available to me if i major in advertising+media/commercial/communication designs other then advertising companies >.<?

Syracuse is really well known for communications.

syracuse's new house is like top 3, so is NYU and some other one in like minneapolis or michigan or some M state.
NYU is alright, but generally if you want to go to a school in New York syracuse is the best.

just how its listed alphabetically)
CUNY-Hunter College
Fordham University
Ithaca College
NYU
Seton Hall University
St. John's University (NY)
Syracuse University


If you major in communications, you can do Public Relations jobs or Human Resources manager or sth
of the like. I know somebody's sister who majored in Communications and landed
a job doing some kind of Public Relations work at a rate of $20/hr.

Is there an art institute near you?
I think they're really good. They have them across the U.S.

My sister goes to the Art Institute of Cincinnati, for Fashion Merchandising, and is thinking about transferring to the one in California, San Fran, I think.
