How + How Often Do You Keep Track of Weight Loss?

I've been weighing myself and doing measurements every now and then. I've also been recording myself in my underwear (this sounds scandalous, but it's like the least sexy thing in the world, especially when I'm pinching and poking at my belly LOL) and it's a HUGE motivation to workout and it helps me keep track of my overall shape and compare it to before. I think I weight myself maybe few days? But I do my "official" weighing every month. Basically I step on the WiiFit once a month to mark my weight (my parents actually USE WiiFit for working out, so it's not a complete waste haha.)

personally i weight myself maybe... 4-5 times a day? don't get me wrong, once in the morning, then like once before working out, once in the middle, once after i'm done, once after i've had my protein drink that i have after working out. so it's like all lumped together.
i also weight myself in my underwear, NOT cuz i'm a perv, it's cuz my shorts weight about a pound (literally) and my t-shirts vary between 1/4th to 1/2 a pound. of course i could just minus that, but i also have a body fat percentage on my scale which is what i try to pay attention to.
as for you... don't "officially" weigh yourself once a month. that's not enough. after you eat, you gain a couple pounds. after you drink a cup of water, another pound. after you pee and poo, minus a pound. basically whatever you do, you lose and gain pounds here and there throughout the entire day. so what can you do? weight yourself in the exact same conditions possible. so what do i do? i wake up in the morning, take a piss, THEN weigh myself
weighing yourself every morning is a pretty good indicator as to your "true" weight. if you do it every day then you'll have an idea of what you weigh. just average it in your head if you do it every morning.
for your shoulders to get stretch marks... i just dont' believe it's possible because of inconsistent working out periods. it's in all probability because of your growth spurt. i have stretch marks on my thighs cuz of that, as do most people, but it's not inconceivable that you'd also get it on your arms. skin is very elastic, so you'd have to have had SKINNY shoulders, then suddenly BALLOON up to get stretch marks on your shoulders. very hard. a good analogy would be pregnant women. most women get stretch marks on their bellies, but SOME do not. because it just didn't stretch fast enough. so did you work out fast enough to gain the volume of a baby on your shoulders in the period of 9 months? impossible. unless you had "assistance" more specifically something that starts with "ste" and ends with "roids"

Now I weigh myself every couple of days or once a week. It's good to check your weight regularly, but not excessively, to be sure you're on the right track (or else if you go too long without weighing yourself, you might end up gaining and not even know it x__x). Some people recommend once every two weeks is the best window of time.
I also measure myself every once in a while, but not regularly. Check with online calculators or use a weight loss ticker (: those tickers really help keep you motivated. It might be a little embarrassing, but it's good to actually post your ticker so people can see. That way, you'll want to make progress and feel more obligated to. (Alot of tickers will let you show the amount of pounds you want to lose instead of your actual weight too.)
