I've eaten this noodle in Singapore.

It's brown in color and doesn't have any food with it.

We bought it in a local store. It's wrapped in a brown paper.

Anyone who knows the name of it?

And correct me if I'm wrong in calling it Singaporean noodles. biggrin.gif

Is it those kinds where you have an option to choose if you want any other dishes to go with it?

I'm not sure. >.<

We only said that we wanted one serving and that's what was given to us.

It tastes really good for me. I can see a lot of Singaporeans eating those noodles every time I pass by that store.

if the noodles are really thin, it could be beehoon. beehoon's usually wrapped in brown paper over here smile.gif

I was thinking beehoon too, since it's 'brown' and wrapped in brown paper.

Umm... the noodles are not too thick and not too thin. And it's also fried.

Sorry, not much of information. >.<

I really like it though.

I'd think it's those fried round noodles.Do they have other cooked food on display?Like fried eggs, vegetables, hotdogs etc.

this is quite fun actually cause we're all like guessing on what noodle it actually is based on the length, side dishes, wrapping blabla. i'm guessing it's beehoon.

Lol if the noodles are brownish, then I'm thinking it probably should be Char Kuay Teow?

Here are some pictures, which one is it?

Char Kuay Teow

Normal Fried Beehoon

Singapore Fried Hokkien Mee or Prawn Mee

Hokkien mee

Fried Mee Goreng

I can only think of these few atm. biggrin.gif

I'm a Singaporean staying in Australia, Singapore Noodle is everywhere.

BUT..
The truth is, we don't call them Singapore noodle, nor is there such a noodle in Singapore.
In here and maybe other countries, the Singapore noodle is thin rice noodle (beehoon), cooked with bbq pork, vegetables, egg and curry sauce (I don't really know what it is but something similar).

It's not char kway teow or hokkien mee. ^^;

I'm pretty sure the name is something along the lines of "sing zhao chao mai" - this being translated from cantonese, not too sure about what it is in mandarin :/

My dad ordered that today and it was pretty good. I got the gist of what it was even though my dad said that they cooked it weirdly and that there was only ONE tiny prawn in the whole dish. I'm sure putting in a few more TINY prawns wouldn't have killed them.

And I'm thinking, it might be the normal fried economical noodles (bee hoon) sold usually for breakfast time.
