Okay so,.. 2 hours ago, I got robbed and I did these things..

*Called my tmobile store person to help me cut the line.
*They told me they'll only suspend it.
*Friend told me it only lasts 3 months(suspension)
*Tmobile person told me to go to their store and buy another sim card for 20 bucks.

So.. the question is, Is the suspension only for 3 months? and after that they can use my phone again?

2nd part.

My mom wants to buy me a new phone cause I only got that for.. 5 days ago.. >_>; and she wants to know, If I buy a phone from tmobile.com, can I just BUY the phone, or do I have to buy the phone with a plan?

3rd part.

I locked my phone, or like, my phone has certain passwords, like email. text.pictures.music, all locked, so can they still go through it if it's a diff sim card?

thanks in advance, im like so lost and sad right now :/.
You will be mine .

I'm pretty sure every T-Mo phone plan comes with a month long warranty at least. For example, a lot of the time you can pay to add extra insurance and such onto your plan, but I still think every phone no matter what comes with a standard short period of time warranty. However, if this isn't the case, it IS possible to buy ONLY the phone without a plan, however, this will cause the phone to be very expensive (I guess depending on the type of phone).

The other stuff kind of depends on what kind of phone it is. I know for sidekicks, stuff like that is all stored on the database, not really the phone or the sim card itself, so when the sim card is removed, or no longer active, no one else will ever be able to access those things. Like, if your phone has a password on it, and someone takes the sim card out and puts their own in to try and bypass the password, it still just comes up, because the password is locked to the sidekick itself, and that particular sidekick is registered to you and only you.

i remember this happened to me too. about a month after i got my new phone.
basically the suspension is until you are able to find your phone again, so they can reactivate the sim, so until then, no one can use it until you call the company and tell them you have the phone back.

since your phone was stolen, and you know you will never get it back, you should go to your provider and buy the sim for $20. you tell them your situation, and they'll call the company and you give them all your information so they can pull up the account. basically what they'll do is that they'll switch the information from the old sim to the new sim card. i dont think passwords would be put into your new sim card cause it was put into your old phone, not the sim itself. so all you can do is just save your old phone number, and maybe some phone numbers ? idk about the numbers part though.

and i dont think t-mobile gives out replacements to stolen phones cause they might think your trying to scam them for a new phone, at least thats what my provider told me. so most likely, you have to buy a new phone for full price. maybe if your friends and/or family is nice enough to give you a spare phone, you can use that for the time being.
