First off, if there has already been a thread like this, can a mod please delete this. Anyways, back to the question, so like how do you make new friends? For me, I have something I do every Friday in school called my "Weird Day", where I go around and talk to random people and make new friends. What about you guys? How do you do it?

My school is filled with brown and black people, which are really easy to make friends with, we usually just say racist things back and forth and laugh, then we're friends. But.. the asian kids are scary and they always look serious.
So yep. Also, we have like a few white people in our school, and we're have a lot of music interests, so when they had a boom box playing, I heard a song I knew, and gave em a thumbs up, we were friends since then xD.

In the past at school I would usually make friends with people who either 1) sat near me in class 2) approached me first. Then we would talk/joke around and eventually eat together at lunch and become friends, then I'd also get to know their friends and bam, we become a group haha. There were times when my parents got together with other parents and made me meet their kids.

Hehe, I'm very much like you as well. I don't like approaching others sometimes because they might have their own little group and you would come up and say "Hi" and their friends will be like "Who are you?" then it'll get too awkward

Back to your question. oh wow I must say your brave...I don't see myself doing it. I have like 10- 15 people that I actually hang out with in school. I don't make friends .. I mean I do but I'm no the type that make the first move in these things since I'm pretty shy and quiet. I know almost all the azn people in my school. I just don't hang out with them...Since they all got there lil clan/ groups etc. We just say hi when were passing each other.
All the asians in my school look serious...

As for me, I just make friends through other friends.
I don't like that though, and I wish to get out and meet more people.
But yeah, whenever I meet friends through friends we never really become that close.

I either make friends through other friends orrr do what I did the other day. I went up to this girl in P.E. and said HI! It was so awkward cause she thought I was talking to someone else LOL. Then she finally turned around after ten seconds but..you're quite brave! I had to do that all day long with the first week or two since I went to a different high school then all my friends. Now that I have a good amount of friends..I wait for someone else to make a move or if I really want to introduce myself cause you seem interesting then I will do so.

when i was younger i think in middle school.. i was really shy but i loved doing origami and trading pokemon cards lol. .so people would buy them from me or just ask me to make them some and some how we just became friends.. when i was transitioning into highschool i would tell jokes and people thought i was funny.. nowadays i usually meet people through class or else my asian club stuff.. since im now an upperclassmen i take more initiative to talk to the freshmen =] theyre cute and i enjoy helping them out or just talking to the really shy ones to try to get them out of their shell =D

I'm not that brave , I really am shy and quiet myself as well...sometimes I get friends to do the "Weird Day" with, so I won't feel crazy going up to people and saying "Hi" randomly

After lunch with my friends I always feel social so I basically say Hi to everyone. If they dont wave back I annoy them by saying Your supposed to wave back. Now this guy always waves back to me because he knows I'll annoy him to death. But other than that I make friends with my friends' friends.

im shy, but can still manage to make friends. But normally i am more comfortable making friends with people who are easy to approach. I smile and say hi, whats your name? .. and then we just chat about wots happening. n then it develops there...

But when i was at school, making friends was so easy. I dont even remember how we became friends. My friend who is 2 yrs bottom of me, managed to become friends and i still don't even remember how, but i remember is that she is really easy to chat too, so she gave me a comfortable feeling. But seriously, i dnt remember how i became friends with her. She became one of my close friends.

I make friends through friends friends too sometimes. I think I'm kind of shy but I do attempt at talking with new people or people I've never met before. Usually, I'd comment about something & that person would just reply back. Then the conversation gets going ~ You just can't be shy & reserved, or else you'll come off as awkward.
