I never thought I would ever resort to soompi for help , but here I am.
Okay, so theres this guy that I've known for a while but I didn't like him until a few months back in June because he had a girlfriend before. Now I don't know if they're still together becuase we never talk anymore and he's never saying stuff on his personal message on msn with hearts and the date of them getting together. But I'm not totally convinced that they've broken up especially since I happened to click on his profile on facebook yesterday and his relationship status was still "In a Relationship" but I'm not sure whether it's because they're together or because he's never on facebook to change it.
So I'm stuck.

And just a couple weeks ago we started talking and hanging out again but I don't want to like him if he still has a girlfriend. I've actually never met his girlfriend because she doesn't go to the same school as we do. As well, people think I like his best friend because I met him first and I'm always joking around with his best friend so when people mention it, he always looks away or pretends he has nothing to do with the conversation and I don't want to give off the wrong vibe.

Another thing is, he may like MY best friend. He seems to always be doing mean things to her but in a friendly way like flashing flashlights in her eyes and taking her pillow to sleep on even when she tells him that she's drooled on it. (As queer as that sounds.)

What should I do?

For the girlfriend thing, why don't you just ask him about it?
Say like "Hey are you still with (girlfriend's name)?" and if he is just ask him how things are going with her and such being casual about it. If not, then just say "Oh..." and move on to another subject.

Maybe you can try joking around about him maybe liking your best friend to maybe pull out some kind of conclusion.
Or you can just straight up ask him.

Oh well...from my pov its pretty much good game for you but none of us can really know what he feels about you or ur best friend..the only thing you can do is ask him otherwise you'll keep wondering
