I just started my first year at a huge university and decided to live off campus in a pretty sweet apartment that is predominantly college students. The only thing is, I know none of my neighbors -- the boys living across from us. We've said hi to one another occasionally, but that's about it. I'm a little shy, especially since I'm an underclassmen and these guys are upperclassmen, and I'd like to know how I can approach them and get to know them. Or is that weird??

Befriending your college neighbors.... how can I accomplish this?

Throw a house warming party & invite the neighbors. maybe a potluck, ask people to bring their favorite dishes.
A lady I volunteered with at the hospital told me about her daughter who lived in the dorm freshman year but wasn't a super-social party girl, she bought a few boxes of pizza and went down to the lounge where guys were playing pool and whatnot and offered them pizza. She met tons of people that way and became the party by 2nd yr!
Food can bring people together
