So I'm nervous all the time.
It's starting to affect me in school, piano and everything!
Like during tests I freeze up and don't know the answer when I should.
Idk why I feel all this pressure to do well and it makes me nervous and affects me.

What can I do to calm down?
Anyone else have this problem?

Edit://
Usually it isn't a problem but in my language class all I get are these 2 mark quizzes.
So everytime you get 1/2 off its 25%!

The quizzes are quick so I don't have time to calm down and check my work.
When I'm doing the test I get so jumbled up and I can think straight.
My mark is dropping and I'm worried.
I get more and more worried each time and as a result I do worse each time.

Everyone has nerves, just that some people manage it better than others. You just need to think of what you want the end result to be and focus on getting there. No negative thoughts.

Remember that your mind is your own worst enemy. It goes through hundreds of different possibilities that will never occur in a million years. Have you ever felt that you were glad that you tried something even though your mind told you not to? Just think, you've tried the best that you can. After all, if something doesn't pan out in the end, you can always try again and learn from your mistakes. Try talking to a friend if you're nervous about a test or listen to soothing music. Life is not a competition against others but a competition against yourself (and how well you can manage your nerves!)

Hope that helps!

Sounds more like anxiety than just being nervous.

"Just do it" everything worked out fine for me.

sounds like me (actually, I was probably worse than you as a kid). I'm nervous/paranoid all the time and used to be deathly afraid of public speaking, or speaking to people period, but I've learned that it's impossible to live your life if you are constantly plagued by anxiety. It's not easy to conquer and you can't get over it easily simply by wanting it to go away but you need to remember that you have goals to fulfill and the only way to do that is to forget about everything or everyone around you and simply concentrate on the task that you're doing at the moment.
What I do to calm down my anxiety/nervousness is to over-prepare myself, whether it be for a test, a presentation or a recital. Even if you think you are ready, keep on practicing or studying and drill those facts into your head and it'll become easier. Or maybe you can talk about it with someone.
hope that helps =)

I don't think my case is as serious as yours, but whenever I feel nervous I just try to calm myself in anyway I can think of at the time. Usually, I get nervous during public speaking so I always tell myself to ignore the people around me and pretend I'm the only one in the room. I think the more you expose yourself to situations that make you nervous, the more you'll get used to them and eventually get over your nervousness. So don't hide away from doing certain things, just do them and remember if you mess up or you embarrass yourself, you're not the first one. We all do embarrassing things so it's no biggie at all.

Try yoga, I've been doing it to help cope with school stress and it helps a lot.

How's your blood pressure? If it's excessively high all the time and your heart is racing, you may want to go to a doctor to prescribe a beta blocker. I'm sure you are thinking, wow I'm so young.

However, if it's just you being nervous because that's just who you are, then you have to overcome that fear. Face the real world.

yoga is a good idea. even just the breathing exercises really help calm you down. plus there are some really simple techniques you can do just about anywhere to help with your nerves.

Are you hypertensive or just nervous? If you are the latter, try to calm down by taking deep breaths. And you can also try different approaches to different situations. For instance, if you are to perform on-stage, try not to mind what you are going to do. Try to shift your attention to something else. On another hand, you can look at nervousness as an advantage, as it stimulates performance.

However, if you are hypertensive, I advise you to see a doctor.

My experience is probably a lot worse than what you have, but I do have a lot of experience in being nervous because when I was younger, I had regular anxiety/panic attacks... in public. It was very embarrassing and I had to consult my doctor about it. The best thing as others have mentioned is to do breathing exercises. I spent 10 minutes a day (5 min morning, 5 min evening) meditating while doing breathing exercises and it helped me tremendously. If you google 'breathing exercises' I'm sure you'll find some ideas to help if you find yoga classes to be too expensive. Now whenever I feel particularly nervous I just take a few deep breaths and my anxiety goes away.
