i don't think so...... or shouldn't be if ur aiming for stanford. most of my friends at berkeley are stanford rejects ^^ and there's more than 40 people from my senior class here at berk. (some are extension students though). The key, i think is gpa. Keep at least 3.5 or higher? join clubs... yeah... good luck! don't worry too much about it and enjoy high school. (i personally think berkeley is a little overrated. waaaay too stressfull...)

hi im not in college yet but basically berkeley is where i have to go if i dont get into stanford (well according to my parents)
im scared. like persnoaly I don't want to go beacuse
1) i heard its really dark...(iuno O_O)
2) really crowded (some person who goes there calls it a zoo =x)
3) competitive? yeah since smart ppl right?
4) stressful

but i also heard the ppl are chill and nice.

can u guys tell me personal experiences/if u like it or not?

can anyone tell me about the Fall Extension Program? anything? i got deferred to the Spring semester and i'm freaking out. I dont know if i should enroll into the fall program or just start in january...

yeah, do extension... i did it.. its basically the same thing as getting accepted for fall. you don't want to miss out on your first year of college life.

i think hella people who go to cal wanted to go to stanford... lolz

its a cool school. lots of distractions, but the professors are really good if u go to class, better faculty than harvard. but like i said.... a lot of distractions...
