I hope the weather cools down soon... I cannot study in this weather, much less do anything that requires lifting myself from the couch.

Aww, that sucks. Maybe you should leave a note to the mailman to not leave the packages in the open, especially if it's a reoccurring problem.
My former roommate lives in Americana... I heard a lot of Asians live there...

If you're going to take science classes - unit 1, because it's close to latimer (chemistry labs) and pimentel (lectures for big classes like chemistry, biology, etc).
If you're going to take humanities/R1A/B (etc) courses - unit 3, because it's close to dwinelle.
If you're going to take architecture/art classes/music - unit 1 because it's close to wurster, kroeber, and morrison halls (respectively)
i mean, these are generalizations, but i lived in unit 1 and it was really nice when i had morning labs. plus you get to avoid all those flyers on sproul...
But when you take upper classes (esp in science) you're gonna wish you lived on north side. urghhhh, barker, tolman, gpb, morgan go to hell!
in the end, all the units are the same. except unit 2 is the farthest, but we're really talking about just a few blocks apart so whichever you get, you're still really close to campus. BUT, i'd say go with unit 1 because it's close to the asian ghetto, crossroads, ramonas, cafe strada (?), etc.
i hope i helped.
edit - oops, i only talked about the units. i'm only familiar with the units, so... clark kerr is far, but i heard they have better food. i never ate there so i don't know.

unit 2 is far...clark kerr is it's own little island all the way up there. my co-worker was saying how you HAVE to be at the bus stop on time or else you're screwed. They have really big rooms though...but yeah. Foothill....has good late night. HAHa. umm...stern...? don't know about that one.
