I don't know if I should or not. My main reason for going to calso is to enroll for classes but I found out that as an fpf student, I enroll through the course selection form. I guess that beats the purpose of going?

I was FPF and I still went. Trust, you have LOTS of fun that day. There will be at least one person in your CalSO group that you will see in your class. Plus, I still talk to a lot of the people in my CalSO group today!
AND YOU LEARN THE TIMEWARP DURING CALSO. DON'T MISS IT.

i can safely say that you can have at least an above average academic career here without knowing what the timewarp is.

"Congratulations! I am delighted to welcome you to... Berkeley for the spring semester 2010, which starts in January. I realize you did not apply for the spring term, but I believe you could be a strong addition to the campus even if I can’t offer you admissions for fall. Your deferred admission is not a reflection on your academic or personal performance, but rather an indication of the size and rigor of our transfer applicant pool which numbered more than 13,000 this year."
Did anyone else get this?

Haha, I'm a 1st year right now, and I did get that, and YES I felt like someone slapped me in the face.
You become a Spring Admit, and if you choose to, you can still take classes at Berkeley and become a Fall Extension student, or FPF.
I took it, and damn the classes were easy. Plus I got to live in the dorms still and join clubs. It doesn't set back your graduation and no one knows you're FPF unless you tell them you are.
----------------------
I'm living in Berkeleyan Apartments on Oxford and Hearst, which is a block away from school, for the summer and upcoming school year, but my roommate and I need another person to split the rent since our third roommate won't be taking summer classes and thus will not be living with us until August.
The apartment is REALLY nice (PM for pictures) and will be furnished by my roommate and I.
You will pay $687/month (which includes utilities and internet), for just 2 months.
We strongly prefer a female. You will be living with me (I don't bite<3).
PM me!

I'm doing CalSO on June 15-16th (I graduate on the 13th). Foothill is quite expensive, and mostly filled with engineering and pre-med majors the last time I checked.
I'm in College of Engineering (one of the few engineering majors you'll find in here, unfortunately!)

I'm in FPF too, but I'm still doing CalSO!

Actually, no you do not. By passing the AWPE test, it ensure you can enroll in English R1A. The only way you don't have to take R1A is if you pass the AP Literature and Composition test with a score of 4 or higher. If you don't pass the AWPE test, you'd have to take COLLEGE WRITING R1A. For more information, go to this website: http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/requirements/rc.html . Hope that helps.
