Leave Obama Alone

I don't understand why Obama ethnicity should even be an issue in the first place.i feel Americans should be pass that and focus on his ability as the president of America not the Black president of American. When he speaks in public he is addressing the nation as a whole not just one ethnic group of people or to minorities.
am i the only on getting sick and tired of the race card always being pulled when speaking about Obama?Do other nation focus on Obama ethnicity and not his presidency also?

And yes, I'm really tired of race being an issue.

I was surprised however, to see Obama's ratings drop lower than that of Bush's after the same time of their Presidencies. i guess i shouldn't be that surprised though. I still recall hordes of Obama supports in tears of joy after he was elected into office. People were interviewed on TV thinking they will never have to starve again and Obama was going to be their savior. They thought their jobs would be safe and they'll get free health care.
Well, not even a full year into his Presidency and we've seen unemployment rate rise to record highs, in some places, above 15%. People are starving and losing jobs more than ever before. Obama's health care reform proposals are far from the universal health care plan that it was originally thought to be. His government stimulus plans have only boosted market numbers to create a false impression of market recovery, ultimately feeding giant corporations with revenue while failing to create jobs which is what Americans need more than anything else right now.

Things aren't going well for Bama right now. Aside from the economy and the high unemployment rate, the chief of the CBO came out and pretty much said that Obama lied about the cost of healthcare reform. And if his attempt at healthcare reform fails, which it likely will, his presidency is moot. It'll be Jimmy Carter all over again.
Obama Administration = Bush Administration

I think there would've been the same hype if Hilary beat out Obama and McCain and becoming the first female president. People just like to pass the problem to someone else to take care.

Obama (unlike Bush) wants to reach across the isle and work with his opponents but those on the right don't seem to care. I honestly believe some people want to see him fail, even if they end up getting screwed over in the process. It's like cutting your nose off to spite your face, damn stupid and counterproductive. It's seriously troubling.

Obama has to deal with the media because the media generally does not side with minorities. They often support white male or female opposed to black male/female.
If you guys don't know what I'm talking about, then you should look up media and racism on google.
I already knew that Obama would have to face a whole bunch of stuff if he got elected, that's why I don't really care about Obama and his presidency nor do i have any reason to support it. He got what he wanted, he should be able to deal with it. (I'm not American, I'm sorry if it feels like I'm bashing him).
His health care reform, from what I'm seeing from the Internet ( Not on television since the media usually twist things around ) may work but there are lot of work to be done to get rid of this recession in United States.
PS, I'm going to America in a few weeks, I'll help slow down recession by buying some Clothes there

I have to disagree with your disagreement. Yes, there is a small percentage who oppose him solely on the ground that he's half black, but they are not a "large chunk". The majority of the naysayers and detractors actually do have valid grievances against the Chief Executive and his administration. I'll put it like this: Clinton tried it, and it was shot down then too, so Obama being black has nothing to do with it.
Obama might want to reach across the isle and negotiate (might), but his party doesn't. Just look at the tactics they're using right now. It's just as despicable as the Bush administration, if not worse. Two prime examples: the replacement of Kennedy with Kirk and the rushing of the health reform bill. What happened to the "transparent administration" that was the platform for PBO's presidency? They're quickly trying to rush the bill and not posting it for review so they can force it down the people's throat without the public's consent because they know they won't get it.

We don't think it will increases taxes, we are certain it will increase taxes.
The CBO estimated that the original draft proposal from Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., would cost $774 billion over 10 years, and Baucus estimates that changes to it so far have added another $28 billion.
To help pay for his bill, he'd impose a 40 percent excise tax on costlier insurance policies and squeeze hundreds of billions of dollars in savings from Medicare over 10 years.

WE need? Who is this WE? The majority of American already have healthcare. Why should they be taxed more to cover the bum at the 7-11? And if healthcare is mandatory, is the government going to penalize said bum for not buying it? I doubt it. The American people will have to pick up the slack on that one also. My personal belief and something Democrats don't seem to get: Equality before the law > Equality of results. I would truly support this healthcare if everyone pulls their own weight since it's obviously going to cost a lot.

Yeah, America should totally reason with Iran & North Korea because I'm sure crazy dictators who don't blink an eye when they kill their own people and feel nothing knowing their people are living in abject poverty will understand reason. Those dictators are just misunderstood, right? That behind those evil eyes, crazy talks and inhumane actions, there's a kind soul somewhere buried deep, deep and I mean wayyyyy deep down inside, right?

The man brutally expands the deficit to fuel an ineffective economic "recovery", fails to push a health care initiative through after overexpending his political clout on an expensive cap and trade bill, is poised to levy a massive increase of taxes on the American middle class, and I don't want him in office because he's black?
Someone really ought to compare the numbers of people who support him solely because he's black.
Side note - for everyone who thinks our "newly elected" president is unable to fix the economy sheerly due to systemic forces or it being "too soon", take a look at the economic recovery of countries that chose to pursue an active stimulus effort versus those who have gone after a muted one, mapped over the last year. Verify things yourself and look past the liberal talking points. Nice job, Obama.
Democrats are going to be running the "too soon" line into the ground in 2012. Oh, and in 2010 when they lose their seats..

People in the US needs to re-take economics class or need to research it on google before they blame Obama for it all. Recessions are inevitable and Obama just came into presidency at the time when the economy was accelerating into the recession. Well, economists say that we've reached the bottomless pit already and the economy is recovering. That's good. Maybe when the american confidence is back the race card will (hopefully) go back into the back pocket.
I just have to say that Obama exhibits exceptional strength and I like the man (though I haven't kept up with his current stories)

So because there are homeless people in America, let's not cover the millions of other people who needs a working health care that won't cripple them. While there hasn't been any real accurate numbers, homelessness in America is no more than a percentage of the population here. There is a significant more amount of people in the US who needs health care.
And as I've said before, the comparison between Bush's popularity rating and Obama's rating during the same length into each's presidency is a very poor comparison. Obama has had to do a lot more than Bush had to do during this time. While Obama had to confront the faltering economy, the ailing banks, the pressure to create a climate change in the world, the soaring cost of medicare and medicaid, and the regulation of banks to avoid this economic mess again.. while Obama had to do all that, Bush pushed for the privatization of social security, and then saw his popularity rise to historic levels as 9/11 not only turned almost every American citizen into blue-blood patriots and have almost every one of our allies turn a sympathetic ear towards us.
So really, it's no comparison.. a very unfair one.
