i tell my mom about my love life -to an extent.
sometimes i'll share whatever jokes i heard from my boyfriend.
or some interesting fact he may have said.
and every month, i would go bouncing to her, saying "it's my 7 months today~"
and she would always tell me "only noobs count months. your dad and i count years"

^^ i love my mom, ahaha.
but it's not like she ever ask about it. i just tell her some stuff and we have a good time laughing about it.

i only tell her if she asks. sometimes she'll ask if i'm seeing someone and if its serious enough... i tell her. when im fighting with my s/o.. she asks me whats wrong and i tell her... she constantly reminds me to use protection hahaha. so yeah we're pretty open with each other.

mom: do u want us to stop the car and pick him up?
me: errrr....i think he'll be fine

me: okay, mom....i haven't seen him in years, so...just keep driving.. -.-

we don't really talk about that...boyfriends are kept away from parents...just

noooope. that'd be awkward. my mom has this problem where if something's wrong with my attitude/behavior, she'll blame it on whoever seems closest to me and communicates with me the most at the time. so if i get a bad grade or something, she'd probably blame it on my bf if i had one and she knew about it. and she's a typical asian parent who thinks i should focus on my studies. i think my mom knows when i have a boyfriend because i make it really obvious when i talk on the phone with them. she mentions it and i just deny it. she told me to break up with my last bf.

When I had a big crush on one of my friends in high school, I told her about every single encounter I think. And now that I have an actual boyfriend, my love life has been pretty hush hush! Hahaha, she still gives me the same responses though:

"You don't know if they're going to run away."

NOPE hahaha! my mom is more strict about boyfriends than my dad is. I do tell my dad about certain crushes i have in school because he's really relaxed about it. My mom usually warns me about date-rapes, and pregnancies. hahaha! i like her protectiveness though~ There's sort of a rule in my house that we can only date when we're in college, and I'm sort of okay with that since i don't have any love interest at the time, and i don't think i will because the guys aren't physically or mentally appealing. xD

ohmyohmy. because my mother is not afraid to show how loud and open she can be, like yelling my asian name throughout walmart, she thinks it's cute that i like boys when i was young, and although last year my mother & i werent as close because i was going through that silly rebellious teen phase, this year we grew closer.
Whenever i'm up late at night crying, she would talk to me that theres always other guys and don't think to much about love, your still young. Loose one, gain another y'know? Although she's fobby and i speak fluent english, I'm glad she tries to speak english to me. Besides, i have nothing to hide. I want to have a mother and daughter connection. my family has met my boyfriend as of now and adore him.
i recall this one time when i was waiting at my bus stop freshmen year and she goes out and wait with me.. "mother why?" hahaha anyways, she sees my friend which is older then me and goes, "hey you boy, you know my daughta? wow you vewy cute boy.." she kinda interrogated him but he thought it was funny haha. what can i say, she resembles me. I probably would do the same with my daughter. ahaha

Back in the day when Buffy the Vampire Slayer was the best tv show in the history of television, I would always tell my mom that Sarah Michelle Gellar was the flyest chick in the universe. 3 weeks later Mario Lopez was on some talk show and she said that he was cute.

I mean, yea, she asks about some stuff like how is he doing? And she's met him and adores him aha, but I just dont like telling her about problems, or anything love related. Its just akward. i dont really show that side to my parents.
I only tell her the minimum so she feels somewhat included, cause she's very jealous of my stepmom lmao.
