my gym partner wants to beat me at everything .. not very motivating T__T

i'll just jump in here before i go to gym and be motivated

Name: Choon

Problem: i looovvee food (and so far i'm eating carbs to grow a butt .. and its working but no less weight but inches are gone)

Goal: be 115-125 in muscle

About yourself: i'm quite lazy and i accomplished major laziness by loosing weight. i was 153 and im now 138. i'm not losing any more weight (carbs T__T) but i am losing inches.. so for now.. im staying away from the scale hehe. i go to the gym 5-6 days a week. i dont do as much cardio because i over did it for 3 months (hence the weight loss) now all i do is weights.. usually 3x20 on 30-55 lbs.. i think i should stop on the carbs O_O.. but i need to grow me butt... lol biggrin.gif

Oh my! That is a really big change! Good job. Haha. Can you give my some tips? I have a big habit of eating alot.... mad.gif
I love food and I can't help but reach for the rice instead of the veggies. dry.gif I'm really ashamed of myself and sometimes I can't help but want to throw it all up even when I know its bad.... But don't worry! I haven't reached that level yet! I know losing 4 pounds in a week is bad, but I had a friend that stopped eating rice for a week, and lost 4 pounds! Is that safe? Should I do it? I have been fat all of my life, I am also like you, my family make fun of me. My sister once called me pregnant when I was only 8 which made me hate my body so badly. Please help!

My motivation:

- Think of an event (e.g. prom) It will really motivate you to lose weight
- Think about waiting for a specific date then you will not eat as much. E.g. well I'm just thinking wait until christmas and I can eat all the roast potatoes turkey etc etc so I just don't eat them now.
- Get a photo of role model. My one is Lee Dae Hee.
- Go to gym. It will make you think of all the hard work you have to do so you don't eat as much.
- Think about if I don't eat this I will not be fat.
- Keep a diary of what you eat (the 30 days challenge really helped

I've been doing my healthy eating and exercise for a month now and I've gone from 7.4 stones to 6.12 stones

Hi, I don't think cutting all rice would have a good effect on you. It seems that you love rice very much, and trust me, I do too. What I suggest is cutting down the amount of rice that you eat by half. That should be a good start. Also losing weight is not all about cutting down on what you eat but it is also about doing some exercise. If you decide to run and do some very light training 2-3 times per week, I think you will be able to lose a steady 1-2 pounds per week. The best thing that I can recommend you is to ask help from Makveli and Kinein. Here is the thread

Just read the whole 1st post, and answer their question, and they will help you out. All what I can say is start by cutting the rice by half and walk 1 hours outside 2-3 times a week and you should see some difference after few weeks. So yea... remember, cutting all rice will be horrible for you because after a while, you will go nuts and go all out and that's when it's really dangerous. Cutting it slowly is the key.

I have finally decided to commit. Last summer, I tried soo hard to loose weight, but
it never seemed to shed off after days of exercise. Its the beggining (sort of) of the school
year and I wan't go get healthy before summer rolls around (*mentally thinking of me in my bikini*).
I also want to fit into my homecomming dress for next year (yea, it's a bit too early, but hey motivation).
It's also a drag to have 2 other sisters who's body's look finee. I'm the middle sister, and its crazy
hard to beat the "body competition" in our household. My older sister is quite petite, but she weighs
less than me and is also taller. My younger sister is almost as tall as me, and has a killer body. It's really
a let down, so this year, I'M GONNA COMMIT.

Name: Hero - that's what everyone calls me (female gender btw)

Problem: I absolutely posotively love food. I'm pretty sure 99.9% of the people in this
forum are experiencing this problem as well. My mom cooks pretty darn asian food, so its
hard to resist eating the fried wontons and what not :]

Starting Point:
` I'm only 5'0" soo short.
` Weigh 110 ;( I feel flabby compared to the other member of my family
` I'm asian

Target Area: EVERYWHERE. My arms are flabby, I have thunder thighs, my calves look
short and stuby compared to the other half of my leg area, I have one jelly roll/muffin top,
and I also have acne;; which doesn't help.

Goal: 100 lbs, or a bit less;; plus to start healthier eating habbits so I can get rid of my acne :]

Problem: Slow metabolism and totally no exercise at all... everyday i will only eat one meal which is my dinner after 8PM because of my work in the day time... but i still keep gaining weight and i know its because of my dinner... my food are not digested and im on my bed preparing to sleep already. and its making my kidney and liver weak too as im always feeling tired and having aches all over my body...

Goal: 55kg by next summer.

About yourself: im 22... 168cm, weighing 68kg... so fat! i usually gain weight at my butt area and i think i really have a big butt although my mum said that my future mother in law will like it becoz it means i can give birth well. lol...
i want to slim down till 55kg... but for now... i will work hard to reach 60kg by christmas~ 5kg by mid dec.
i plan to start the master cleansing detox diet next monday... lasting it for 2 weeks. together with the diet... i decided to do some jogging at night after work... the reason i didnt jog on usual days is becoz i had my dinner so late and it cant digest fast enough for me to jog without having stomach cramps. so please wish me good luck k! hope that i will have motivation to finish the plan! i really need to slim down.... im already 22... i dont want my youth to pass by not being able to look great and wearing nice clothes~
im going to paste a big poster of yoochun in my toilet and look at him when i bath! haha just kidding..its so weird...

Problem: I'm not really fat but i wanna get a slimmer stomach and a little ab - age wont hurt . :X

Goal:
EAT HEALTHY .
DANCE at least 20 minutes a day.
RUN at least 10 minutes a day .
BETTER SKIN .
Lose hmm .. 10 lbs by the end of the month ? o.o
AND GET THAT BANGIN' STOMACH BY THE END OF DECEMBER ! mad.gif

About yourself: Well , my family doesnt really care what they eat . which is bad cuz we have a history of high blood pressure and diabetes . -___-x im trying to change this . @__@; they also get mad at me if i dont eat a lot and keep piling food onto my plate D: . i used to do a looott of sports but i stopped because i didnt have enough time for school . now i dance biggrin.gif but since its something thats self taught i dont get much time to do that either ): which is sad because i love it so much .

problem: i really, really hate working out, can't stay away from sweets,

goal: i want to love 10~15 pound by new year's eve. i'm currently around 140 and would like to be 130 or lower at the start of 2010. my long term goal, in time for summer vacation, is 115 pounds. (for the record, i'm around 5' 5.1/2")

about yourself: nineteen year old girl. i've never been skinny (unless you count like, grade school) but this year i finally started losing weight. i'm now more comfortable with my body than i've ever been before, but i know that i could look even better/get more toned/get rid of excess fat. i really want to do it in a healthy way, but i also know i am weak and more likely to skip a meal rather than exercise.

Problem: im a binge eater.. when i eat, i stuff my face with junk until i throw up. and when i start dieting, i'm never consistent... ill be doing fine and hten one day i binge again and the weight comes back

About yourself: korean, 5'5, 135lbs.. i have a really small frame so im actually pretty overweight for my natural framesize .. with my frame i should be around 110-115..

Problem: I tend to eat when there's food in my face. Ex: when my friends are hungry and they want to go out and eat and then I'm not exactly hungry but it's there, I'll just tend to want to eat it. Plus, I eat for my appetite and not for fulfillment. Definitely too indulgent, I'll binge a lot.. especially late at night. Were talking about snacking out eating wings at around 11pm-2am. YES, I know it's bad but we go out and eat a lot : (

Goal: I'm planning to go back down to 105lbs by Christmas time. Which I know I'll probably be able to do biggrin.gif

About yourself: My friends always want to go out and eat and it's so discouraging! Yeah, I'm on the cleanse right now to reboot my metabolism and today is my 3rd day, I'm pretty energetic today! I lost 3 lbs already and I'm planning to keep it off!

Problem: I eat a lot one day, then I eat few things the other and the two things cancel themselves and I end up never losing weight even if I exercise. And There are days I exercise and others that I lose my motivation and don't do nothing about it TT___TT and then I gain a belly. I even eat when I'm full just for gluttony.



Goal: I plan on.... at least 7kg (I think 15lb until the end of the school) and I also want to loose weight on the winter break.

About yourself: I have dieted before but without any commitments and I was not motivated. And I see my friends eating and stuff and I also feel hungry. My best friend just got a lot skinnier and I was so jealous because she didn't tell me how!!! I walk every morning and afternoon 15min. because I got to school by train.

Problem: i get alot of anxiety when excercising outside. Whenever i se anyone looking at me attempting to drop pounds, i become shy and start walking...trying to look "normal". It's a very bad problem sad.gif . This results in me doing like 5-10 mins of excercise rather than an intended 30-40mins.

GOAL: i want to reach the normal "bmi" zone which is currently 79 kgs for me (approx 160 pounds).

About myself: i am currently under a strict low carb diet which has been working quite well. It's been 2 weeks and dropped 10 pounds so far.

Oh you shouldn't feel anxiety! There are so many people, young or old, men or women, who are running/jogging and just trying to get fit! I see it all the time (in my community at least) and there are people carrying dumb bells or wearing leg weights to increase it. If you feel weird you should just run/walk around a track or areas where you know it's a bit secluded but not a place where it could be potentially dangerous (a forest)

PS: I've lost 5 lbs since I first started this so I'm pretty excited.

No one can help you if you don't want to help yourself. You got to really want to do it and set your mind to it. You should try doing swimming first or just jogging lightly then go up to running. If you really want to get fit/lose weight then you got to set your mind to it and just try to not lose focus, remember to eat carefully and do activities you LIKE doing. Maybe sports like tennis or just cleaning up the house if you like to clean smile.gif

The biggest motivation I find for myself is when I'm planning for my trip. I want pictures of me turn out nice with slimmer body. Another motivation would be a reunion, you want to look your best in front of old friends and maybe old flames too?

(i've started my diet on nov. 25)

About yourself: i am 5'3 and weight 115. i know i'm not FAT, but i'm definitely not where i want to be.
i currently dance for a team 3x for 5 hours a week vigorously. and i take dance class in school and i'm a coordinator for an afterschool dance club as well. so i get the right amount of excersice (i think), but i've been eating too much junk/fast food since i can barely get any healthy food outside of my house.
i've been trying to chose healthy choices from fast food restaurants lately, but i don't know if that'll help much. ie, grilled, pitas, yummy yogurt parfaits. but all this weight is going straight to my thighs and my stomach so since i cant spot areas to lose weight, i'll just lose weight all around.

Problem: I'm an emotional eater. Whenever I feel down, I just eat and eat a lot. Also when my mother buys some delicious snacks, I am soo tempted to eat it all

Goal: I really want to lose 10 pounds in a month, especially around my legs. They're soo fatty >.< And when I stop eating all the snacks, my skin will also get better and acne-free

About yourself: I have never diet before, because I really don't know where to start.
I do play sports, I play hockey and I have to cycle 30 minutes to school
