I was really excited to see this movie when I saw the trailer, but then when I actually saw the movie, it wasn't that SCARY AT ALL!! Rather than scary, it was more like Creepy...
There were only two scary parts in the movie which was when the girl was drag and then the ending...
I know some of my friends who saw the trailer and they were freaking out!! even have nightmares...
I saw the movie, but it didn't affect me really...LOL...I do believe in those ghosts stories, but it wasn't that SCARY SCARY!

In my opinion the movie was more humorous than scary. The only "scary" part was the ending which wasn't that scary because it makes you jump. I was disappointed of the ending but, overall it was a good movie just because of the humor involved. If anything, the movie could make you feel paranoid after watching it but..eh.

i saw this yesterday and i think i was laughing for the most part. first of all micah was hilarious; stupid but funny nonetheless. and there was the psychic guy who was completely useless. but mainly our audience was awesome; there were people making the funniest comments (intentional or not i dont know) and there was this one guy that sneezed for the entire theatre to hear at that one silent moment lol -> cracked everyone up. anyway, i wasn't that scared at all. i almost fell asleep during the first 30min cuz it was so friggin slow. picked up during like the last 15min or so.
people say it's like blair witch which i never saw, but for documentary-ish scary movies REC is still the best one i've seen thus far.

it wasn't even scary, during the previews the "fourth kind" looked even scarier.
It was more humorous, only the ending was the good part. I got like huge headache, cause the camera kept moving.
the movie was really boring for like 3/4 of the way.

seriosuly, i wasn't scared or even creeped out at any part of the movie at all. it was just boring, boring, boring.
i was so excited about this movie too. huge disappointment.

Is this movie anything like Ghost Hunters or Paranormal State?
because from what I'm seeing in the trailer
it seem similar to those two shows except more dramatic

Watched it on Halloween, wasn't as scary as you would've have thought. After watching this movie, my hearing ability has drastically got better LOL noticing little things. I came home to a empty house and the lights are all off. gg

this wasn't scary at all... i was completely ready with the pillows and sheets to cover my eyes from the supposedly scary scenes, but there weren't any at all. okay, so maybe a little few jumpy moments, but that was just it... overhyped, i say.

nevertheless, for a movie with a budget of 15k and only shot in a week, it's a very good movie.

There's 2 different endings right?

Because I saw it again at work (bootlegged) and it was a kitty version of the ending.
Because the ending I saw a week ago was RIDICULOUS, and still haunts the crap out of me.
If you saw both endings, you know what I'm talking about.

Maybe those who thought the ending wasn't that scary may have watched the kitty version.
Which was ... The cam is in the bedroom. The girl stares at him for 2 hours again, goes downstairs and screams hysterically and Mika runs down the stairs to save her. Then it is followed by his hysterical screaming. It is silent. She walks up the stairs alone with blood all over her. She sits on the floor rocking back and forth for a day or two? Her friend finds Mika's dead body downstairs and the police comes. They shoot Katie when she regains consciousness b/c she has the knife in her hand.

But the OTHER ending is a lot scarier IMO...

It's the same ending up to the point where Mika runs downstairs to save her after she screams. Both of them come back upstairs, with Katie's arm around Mika, as if supporting him or something. You could tell Mika is... not the same. And all of the sudden, Katie throws Mika's body at the camera and the camera falls. Katie crouches down by his body, all demented, and looks like she's going to like.... eat him or something. And she just sticks her face in the camera, staring..... AND I'M TELLING YOU THAT'S SOOOOOO SCARY.

dang for real i thought it's Reality LOL turns out it's like Blair Witch Project huh
but it's fun, it's refreshing seeing horror movie with not much special effect bloods and sounds lol

I wanted to see this movie because the trailer does look scary. But after reading some of the comments that people found it to be not as scary, makes me think otherwise about watching this. I just don't want to be disappointed since I watched Haunting in Connecticut and was deeply disappointed because the storyline was completely changed from the documentary. I guess I'll watch this if I have nothing to do.

i thought it was scary until the end when shes talking on the bed to her boyfriend, and the dialog, its freaking AWFUL. just killed the realisim of it for me.

although i did like the absolut 3 mins of it where she comes back upstairs and sits there for 3 days

after she " gets up" that was lame.. totally lame ending. it wouldve been cooler if she did something to those people.

i watched it with some friends like 2 weeks ago. it wasn't scary until the very end. i nearly crapped my pants at the end. most of the movie was pretty funny though. the guy was lol and the psychic haha.
