There is a thread for the most underrated singers, what about the most overrated ones?

I think Uee (After School) is so overrated. She is pretty and all, but she`s not that great of a dancer.
Plus the rest of After School doesn`t almost get any promotion.

but after long careful thought, i could only think of SNSD as being overrated

and Im not just talking about their singing and dancing, they are overrated for looks too. Completely typIcal Asian girls and the cute act gets really old

I agree with you about UEE. She gets so much promotion with Lee Min Ho and we got married. But the other after school members dont have any solo promotion. I think she should stick to modeling.


I liked after school as a 5 member girl group not 6.

Also i would like to add Kara to the list. I think they really need to improve on their singing. Their lives arent good. Rhe only one I like is Nicole cause shes a good dancer

I think basically all idol groups are overrated. o-o A majority of us likes them for their faces and their personalities. (Of course, the talent is a plus as well.) But still. =/

Groups:
SNSD- I find half of them to be average singers, and a few above average. HyoYeon is the only one who can dance without making it seem like she's following steps.
SUJU- Several are great singers, others are just... there.
Oh, just remembered Wonder Girls. I find that only YeEun and sometimes SunYe can sing. Others... no comment.

There are others, but none with the popularity of the above.

Just wanted to get my thoughts in before this thread's closed due to arguments

the groups from SM, YG, and JYP are automatically overrated.
ppl get hyped about them before we even know they actually have talent.
we just have to hear the news "they're debuting a new group (or artist)", and it's gonna be like "omg omg!" for a lot of ppl.

but i don't blame them, cuz i love those groups too.

ugh.. she's everywhere.. i never liked her from the beginning .. (no offense to UEE fans)
but yah.. i like kara , but hara and jiyoung needs to practice more on their singing... -___-; i mean ji young is good at singing, but not that well live.. and no comment about hara....
last but not least, t-ara.. seriously, Q-ri can't sing.... or i haven't heard her sing by herself yet?
and Boram.. yah, i don't know, i guess i need to hear her sing more..

i am not an anti of any groups.. i just think some members got in because of their looks, that's all.. or they can sing, but not very well at live..

4-minute.. i think some members can sing and rap, but some can't sing.. but they are all good at dancing, so i give credits to them.. and i do like their new album a lot~ they are improving.. so i'll have to just wait and see (congrats to them on their first mutizen award on inkigayo).

BUT just my 2 cents.

2NE1 - i think 2NE1 is slightly over-rated .. i like them >.< but just slightly you know with all that hype being the 'girl bigbang' & stuff like they're the best girl group. they're good candidates but you cant leave out some other newcomers ..

Jessica - i agree with CLWIFE that she cant sing, her voice is weak & barely audible even with a good mic

SNSD + WG + Kara + SUJU - some can sing or dance, some cant do either ..

UEE - i dont find anything decent in her singing/dancing/modelling

Jiyong - i just dont really like the fact that when he 'helps' out in composing a song all credit is given to him when there are other people who helped make that song (by no means he said it but just fans like to make it seem as if he did compose the whole song .. thus making him over-rated)

I hope people won't start fights in here because I think it's kinda interesting to hear what criticism they have towards certain artists. It's their opinion so please keep it smooth. It doesn't mean they hate them (:

I think Nichkhun of 2PM is overrated. I like him and all but he's not my fav.
2NE1 is sort of overrated as well. There's more and more girl groups this
year but I hear some people think that 2NE1 is the best out of all....
Sometimes I feel that Ji Yong & T.O.P of Big Bang is overrated too.
When I watch videos of Big Bang most comments are about them....
SNSD is quite overrated too. Especially like maybe half of the girls.
I only know like Jessica, haha see ;P
Yoobin of Wonder Girls is kinda in a way.

seriously.. it's like people get SO hyped about new sm/jyp/yg artists and praise them more than they actually deserve to be. i mean, they're all talented, but there are so many more better singers that are underrated..
