Part of growing up and being mature is learning how to balance your life. Eventually you'll find a way to accomplish your goals while still having time to kick back with friends and family. Being studious is very important, but so does being spontaneous.

I feel somtimes we spend so much time studying and worrying about the future that we lose a sense of who we are. I mean like forgetting how to enjoy life when we are still young. Does anyone sometimes feel that way? I just realized how unhappy I was with the circumstances.
You'll probably feel that way, and with that feeling you may end up losing your motivation to study. But fear not! You must remember the most important thing about what you are doing right now. What you do will carve the path for your future. Mess up, and your future will be in shambles, so don't worry too much, although studying almost 24/7 isn't really healthy. I mean i fealt that way for a while, but i took the time to make some time for socializing, and tried to obtain a "balance" between the two. Its working ot a certain extent, although i sometimes go overboard on the socializing once in a while, but its a good way to relieve all taht stress from studying. So if you do feel like you're losing a sense of who you are, just take a deep breath, and relax a bit. This is what you are doing to secure your future, and there's a price to be paid. (sorry if i sound like an masshole or a preacher)

Have fun, and do well, i am not sure how i balanced it out but i think i might have just gotten better at school, and i make sure i hang out at least one day a weekend, hm be productive when studying and try not to make it drag out. Get some time for yourself. Relax, and look at other people's grades in your major (not that good, at least where i am looking)

Students spend about 2-10 years in school after HS. I think it's a very important investment considering it greatly impacts how we live the rest of our lives.
Even though you may be suffering now, you just have to take the pain to enjoy life later. The average American has a good chance of reaching 80, so it's a question of whether you want to suffer 2-10 years now, or 60+ years ringing up tampons at your nearest grocery store. It's totally up to you.
