Hey guys.
So I'm thinking of traveling by this shuttle service called Quick Coach to save a couple of hundred dollars but I'm kind of scared.
It'll be a 3 hour ride.
Has anyone traveled by bus before? How was your experience?
And if anyone has tried Quick Coach before, PLEASE share your experience!

Are you scared of those you might be stuck on the bus with, or the boredom of being stuck on the bus for so long?
I have never been on Greyhounds before, but when I used to commute to my old school, I will take the GO Bus all the time. They aren't that bad, especially considering how the bus driver will not be jamming on the breaks to let people off or on every street or so. The seats are quite comfy and if you think it's too cold or hot, you can always direct the air vent from above away or simply close it. I think Greyhounds is more of a smooth ride than GO Buses (since it's bigger and people go longer distance in them), so maybe you can read or play games along the way.
Just don't fall asleep if someone is sketchy beside you or around you. Ever since the case in Canada about the man's head being chopped off, I rarely slept when I was on the GO Bus! I'm just a paranoid one though! If anything, don't sit so far back. Sit in the first couple of rows and you will feel safer with the bus driver close by. That's what I did when I commuted home at nights. There were times where I thought nobody else was on the bus except for the driver and I, but that was not the case.

Ahh yeah I should have explained why I'm scared.
A lot of people say Greyhound buses are filled with sketchy people that may sit next to you.
But thanks! You guys are right.
I'll try my best to sit at the front.

I've actually rode on the Greyhound buses many times now. So far, I've not had any issues but something fishy did happen to my mom, she said she was sleeping and she had her purse with her and she felt a slight tug at her purse and she woke up to find this one guy hand reaching towards her purse but when he saw her awake he sat back as if nothing happened and she moved her purse away from him. So I guess you just have to be careful about your belongings that you bring with you on the bus.
Like one of the post said, just make sure to sit in the front or middle it's always a bit more secure than in the back. Try not to bring much of your luggage's onto the bus, make sure they're under the bus, that way there's less chance for anyone trying to steal from you. if you bring your purse with you onto the bus, make sure it's somewhere where people can't really reach to it. I usually try to sit next to the window so that I can put my purse between me and the window away from the person next to me. If you're in the aisle seat, just have your bag/purse on your lap with your arm around it.
The three hours ride will go by really fast because the drivers are usually fast at driving. I use to always have to ride a six hour drive usually by myself or with my mom, now that was a killer. hahaha.

I've taken Amtrak before, from Berkeley to San Luis Obispo, from LA to Berkeley, and Berkeley to LA.
Although it's cheaper than a plane ticket, I'd rather pay an extra $20 for airfare. I hated taking the bus because it's hard to sleep plus you have to be aware of when your stops are. And in Berkeley and LA, there's sketchy people everywhere, especially at the stations.

I've only been on it once. I barely made it, like I almost missed the bus. But there was alot of ppl. It was an 1.5 hr ride. I didnt get to sit with my sis or mom cause we barely made the bus. It was relaxing but just like any other bus you might sit beside who doesnt smell the best. But i got to sit by myself
