I'm asking because these days, in my opinion, the media seem to be exposing children of all ages to violence, sexual images, and curse words through TV, video games, songs, or the internet.

I would argue that are no positive aspects of media. Maybe the internet as a research tool but that's a stretch as teachers are rapidly adding nearly every useful webstie to their blacklists due to opinionated or user input over factual and proven data.

One thing I don't like about the media is how there is one person with the probability to twist stuff.

Fast information dissemination--that's the biggest plus of media I think.
But only to selected people.

Let's face it. There are still people in this world who do not have access to one or to all of these.
