for those of you that don't excercise, how do you keep from becoming fat?

i haven't excercised in months and im starting to get a little bit of tummy fat. sad.gif

so how do you guys and gals keep slim?

Well, for me it's mostly genes. I've never had to work out in my entire life, yet I have very fit legs and a fit stomach. I mentioned it in another thread, but I've actually been trying desperately to put weight ON, because I'm just naturally very bony and under weight.

However, I've started walking a couple nights out of the week. I feel kind of strange about being so skinny and not doing anything, like, I feel unhealthy because I don't work out at all I guess, so my boyfriend and I have been walking four laps around the block. It takes about forty-five minutes, and makes me feel better and slightly healthier at least, lol.

None of this probably helps you at all, but I just figured I'd give my two cents :|

lols. i hate it when someone says that they're bony and skinny and they don't like it cause it makes me feel worse.

i have a beast metabolism.
never been over 110 in my life no matter how much junk food i eat.

It's metabolism. I used to be like that. Then... I grew up. Lol now my thighs are like BOOM lol sad... gotta go exercise.

this applies to me..
i have a super fast metabolism too, and i never had to exercise but i noticed my tummy is getting fatter? like wthh LOL
why cant other areas of my body gain fat, why my tummy sad.gif

If you don't eat breakfast, your body does this kind of panic attack at lunch and sucks in every bit of fat from your lunch, and you don't that to happen, so eat breakfast smile.gif
and a very balanced breakfast is good too!
I don't eat breakfast, but I'm small, so I'm pretty skinny.

Yup having a fast metabolism is key.
I have a fast metabolism and it makes me hard to gain weight.

-Try to eat more meals but less every time you eat. Ex. Split your lunch in half and have half of it at 12:00 and the other half at around 3:00.
-Don't eat 3 hours before you sleep.
-Avoid fat foods.
-Avoid pop and anything high in sugar.
-Avoid white carbs (white bread, white pasta, donuts)
-Instead, eat complex carbs (whole grains, borwn rice, oatmeal)
-Eat breakfast
-Eat more fiber.

Drinking green tea and eating scrambled eggs helps boost your metabolism in the morning. I don't like to eat breakfast just because I tend to feel sick after wards (weird, I know!), but it's really important if you want to lose weight or stay at a healthy weight.

i don't exercise but i eat little & veryy irregularr...
but it's unhealthy & i've fainted a few times before.
&& for some reason vacations make me lose weight.. o__o

but if you want fast metabolism (since everyone else seems to be suggesting it), i think B12 helps.??
if it's not B12, it's B6..
it's a vitamin.. the bottle should say something about metabolism..
i got hungry every 3 hours when i took that so i stopped..

My metabolism is just fast I guess.
Although, can't say much, since I never exercise and here I am :c I've build a tummy for myself. Hahaha.
But I am pretty much skinny, minus the tummy fat (Gross).

Don't eat after 6 or 7pm c:
Stay away from midnight snacks.

Naturally, I'm pretty skinny, but I'm always afraid of getting fat. So I eat really slowly (as to not overeat) and try not to get too hungry between meals.

But I also run every night from 8PM to 9PM. I can run 3.1mi in that time so far, much improved from 2.5 miles my first night. It feels great.

Also, get a good night's sleep. More sleep, less time to eat.

Omg I have the same problem!! TT^TT I'm skinny everywhere, except my stomach!! I've gained fat around my tummy area recently! It looks so ugly cuz I'm like bone everywhere else, and then you look at my stomach and BAM! there's fat... ): And it's pretty noticible TT^TT I think I have pretty fast metabolism, since I get hungry like an hour after I eat a meal -__- But then all the fat goes around my stomachh, not my legs, or arms, or butt, or anywhere else that would need some fat around!!! ughh this is not faiir ):

I've heard of the 8-minute abs workout. I'm sure it works if you keep doing it everyday for like a whole month straight xD I'm just too lazy to do it! TT^TT And it hurts a lot cuz I'm such a little weaklingggg! >_<

yea i've tried the 8 minute abs thing but that doesn't really reduce your fat that much...i think if you don't maintain the fat...you'll gain abs on top of having a bit of fat and it would look weird...lol

Fast metabolism. One day I know it will slow down.
The downside is I feel hungry fast.
I can't bring a fridge to school, so my pockets feel quite empty...

All my fat goes to my stomach, hips, and thighs. I'm skinny everywhere else cuz I'm small-boned. But I'm older now...so I guess it's kinda of expected. When I was in my teens, I didn't have any hips...now it's like bam.
