Okay so my neice has been sick for the last couple of days and today her fever got worst...
So it was 10 pm and my sister in law (her mom) and me were sitting in the living room the whole night, she was sleeping by her mom, her mom was watching tv, and I was making polymer clay charms.... The whole night she was jumpy... like she would wake up every 5-10 minutes and cry and then her mom would talk her back to sleep... And then she threw up once... then fell back asleep...
Sometime around 12 am, almost 1 'o'clock', she jumped while my sister in law was holding her in her arms (she was still sleeping), while we were watching tv. My sis in law and me were like, "what the hell?", you know, not expecting anything... suddenly her head falls back (she drops all control of her body), her eyes roll back so you only see the white part, her whole entire body starts twitching and shaking very crazily.... So I was like panicked not knowing what to do...
My sis in law was panicking too and she told me she thought she was having a seizure and I couldn't believe it... she told me to run upstairs and call my brother... so I did, knocking down a cup full of apple juice, stumbling over things, and scared to death.... My brother finally ran downstairs and called 911...
By that time my little niece was still twitching all over, her face began to turn blue, and every flashback I ever had of her life (along with precious photos and moments) begin to go through my mind, thinking she might not make it, because I thought "she ain't responding to us or anything..."
When the ambulance finally arrived she was okay, her eyes dazed and her face in a confused-sort-of state, and she was breathing heavy.
It turns out her fever was 103' degrees and it had triggered a Febrile seizure, something I had similarly experienced at the same age as her. It was one of the most shocking and haunting moments in my life cause it was soooo scary seeing my little niece like that. I can't believe how frightening that was... The scariest part was her dazed, confused look like she was staring at something or someone... so freaking scary.
Unless you've also witnessed one, you don't know what it feels like.
The diagnosis of Febrile seizures are very common for young children though especially with high fevers... I know she'll be ok.
Anyone else ever experienced this or have ever seen a close friend/family experience it also???

yes. when i was in Vietnam my niece had it.
he had a fever but decided to go to beach with us
because it was or last week in Vietnam.
his only two. when he finished swimming everyone was eating
and his mum went to buy medicine. so he was left for us to care
but he was sleeping.
he sleeping and my sis and cousin was laughing because his head tilted
(we're not mean just that we didnt know what was happening) then
we started seeing foams or bubbles coming out of his mouth and screamed.
all these old ladies came around him and helped him. his eye was up and white.
they got lemon and rubbed on his back then he was fine again.
but he started crying a lot.
it scared us because we were in Vietnam and didn't know their ambulance number.
also we were at some beach that was far from the hospital and that the traffic is bad in Vietnam.
