Why do people get so angry when their favorite entertainers are critisized?

A simple comment, not even bashing that is slightly negative can unleash a horde of angry fans.
Commenter - "Her voice was kind of weird today..."
Fans - "You are just jealous because you are ugly and fat and stupid and can't do any better,
go get a life instead of just commenting here, and why are you even commenting here if you don't
like this person, go watch videos of people you do like, if you don't like her, then you shouldn't ever
watch her videos or comment."
------------------------
This is a rather extreme example, but you guys get my point right?
So why do people get so butthurt over even the slightest insults to their stars?

lol, your example wasn't an extreme example, it's quite common.
It doesn't even have to be a celebrity; open up any L&R thread where someone's talking smack about someone else and everyone's like "lolololol we know you're jealous and fat and ugly no need to bring others down with you"
Logic does not mix with social situations. Especially when there are people involved.

Even if Kim Jae Joong suddenly looks like Will Ferrell, faithful girls will still find him smexy and defend him from some Simon Cowells criticizing around...

I don't get mad, I might get playful mad and be like "Oh lord you're out of your mind if you think otherwise," but I don't really mean that. I think Brendon Urie has the most beautiful voice to ever grace a human being. . .do I get mad if other people disagree? Of course not.

People do tend to go a little overboard with the defense thing, Ex: Her outfit...it didn't look good today --> OMGEE!1!! How could u say that? ur fat n ugly n gotz no talentz!1!!1 ur so stoopid! SHIFT+1
but honestly who isn't going to defend something they like? It's the nature of the fan. Not liking negative comments about something you like? Obviously this isn't something you want to hear, so sure. Getting mad over it? Not needed. Not everyone is going to like what you like.

How would you act if someone insulted a good friend of yours? And to go with my idol analogy, how would you like it if someone insulted your God or religion? It's that serious for some fans.
People tend to lack objectivity. When you build an image of your favorite celebrity in your mind, you don't want to hear anything to the contrary. Everyone is flawed, no matter how talented or hot. But no one wants to see or hear about any flaws if it's a person you idolize.

Exactly, sometimes they get themselves too attached to their idols.
criticism is okay but sometimes it gets overboard that its unfair and the
fans ended up defending them.
One more thing, "anti-fan" this i don't get. is it like somebody making it
a habit to find fault over someone and happily doing it? are they psycho?
