I just brought a Hp deskjet D1600 printer and installed the CD. When I try to print, it keeps saying my document is pending. And does anyone know how to put the paper in properly? It still sticking out of the tray.

You should really read the manual, or at least the quickstart guide...
might still be filled with packing material
I would reinstall the printer drivers and hope it works, its possible windows is still trying to print to your old printer or something.

Is there any way to install the cd rom thing? The printer came with a cd rom in chinese and I can't read chinese

did you use any other printers before this one? If so, your computer might still have that printer as its default thus the comp is pending to print with the old printer. You might want to check which one you selected to print with.
EDIT: in regards to your paper tray. You put the paper in the bottom tray, through the c-shapped clamp on the side.
