Wow that sounds horrible. I'm introverted, but not to that stage. Usually my dumbass sense kicks in and I laugh at myself.
Bluebooks are like 30 cents, I don't understand how you couldn't buy that.
Check your syllabus and see how much the class was worth. If it was more than 15%, I would suggest you drop the class. BUT before you do that, you REALLY should send an email to your professor, and ask her/him if you can take a make-up and explain why.
It's not the end of the world, so just hang in there.

The same thing happened to me this Monday. I had a midterm, came to class forgetting to buy a blue book. I ran across the campus

Yeah, I'm gonna suggest you drop/ask for pass-nopass/withdraw from the class. The best grade you can get is a B-, and that's a 2.7 GPA, which isn't too good at all.

Sometimes professors even have spare blue books on them or accept it on paper.
I don't know what I would do... probably just finish the class and hope I pass, if not retake. But it's not nice to your GPA to experiment like that. And it never hurts to aks the professor what the likelihood that you can pass will be given your current grade.
