I just ordered chinese food and my total came out to around 20$ because of the delivery charge of 5bux.. ahh i feel majorly ripped off LOL and i dont really want to tip :/
So my question is, when you guys order stuff and there is a delivery charge, do you still tip the person? Or would the delivery charge be considered tip..? D:

Some of these delivery places are EFFED up to their drivers . They barely make min wage per hour . If there is a delivery charge, I still tip but just not as much as I would if it was free delivery . Feel me ?

I still tip regardless of a delivery fee. I don't think the delivery fee usually goes the the delivery person so yeah, I tip, especially if they have a super attitude when you open the door. (:

i think i read some article a while ago about like pizza delivery drivers. saying that drivers actually make less than minimum because theyre supposed to make up for in tips. and that even though theres a delivery charge it doesnt go to the drivers but to the company or restaurant or whatever

In Australia we don't normally tip because we already have GST.
But my older bro always tips delivery drivers because he use to work as one and "knows how they feel". I'm not sure what he meant by that but yeah.

For us it depends on gas prices. If the gas is high and if they're far away we do a few bucks. Sometimes we get Papa John's and it's just like three min's or so away so unless gas prices are super high we don't them. I think here Pizza Hut is the only one who adds your tip to their pricing.

I always tip for delivery even if there are charges. I tip them even more if they come really, really fast.

I still give them tip. The drivers don't get the money from the delivery charge.

Depending on the area, some of the ones who deliver barely make minimum wage and count on their tips for gas money and such. I would probably only order food if I also have enough money to tip but I understand that their delivery fee is a rip off. I'll probably straight up ask the delivering dude if any of that goes to him.

We don't tip here because half of the delivery charges count as tip.
I think.

I thought delivery charge includes tip? When it's free delivery, I always tip. But when there isn't, I don't. : )
