This is what I'm getting from my guy friends. They would rather go after a girl with a slim figure but an average-looking face than a girl who's pretty but is also chubby. For some reason, it seems like chubbiness is like the biggest turn-off for them. So is there anyone out there who can confirm this? If you're against what I'm saying, then what do you find most attractive about the opposite sex? blink.gif

umm. every guy has different tastes. but when they say chubby, like HOW chubby is it to be considered a turn off for them? like 5'3 and 120-130 pounds(some people consider that chubby)...or 5'3 and 180? ph34r.gif

every guy is different but yes

guys dont like chubby girls, really short girls, tall girls, lanky skinny girls..soo picky

guys dont like chubby nor stick thin girls.. its like we have to be all sexy s-figured and curvy

or toned or whatnot.. i try not to think about it.. and just be HEALTHY and be myself/yourself.

Cuz i honestly dont expect him to have a celebrity body.

girls that are stick thin are way better than chubby in my opinion. either way, when you want to hug them or cuddle with them, it's like a million times more comfortable and easier to do so if they're on the smaller side than the bigger side to wrap your arms around them and pick them up. unless i guess, u want more cushion? on second thought... maybe it is better to have a chubby g/f....

Not wanting to break anyone's self esteem, but yes. I think most guys do prefer girls that are slim / average. But let me get this one straight: Guys that 'love' someone by their appearance is just a bunch of b.s.

To each his own. I'm on the chubby side but my boyfriend still loves me nonetheless. ph34r.gif I'm glad to have found someone who loves me for me instead of just for my appearance. :/

It's preference. I like the slimmer girls.

I have a friend who likes the chubbier girls.

not true. i would rather take a chubbier girl with a pretty face than a stick figure with normal face. I liked 2 chubby girls in my lifetime, they both had beautiful personalities and changed me through experiences. One of them, a few years later went on those huge diets and turned into a sex bomb :S

there was a thread for this already hehe.

mmm, hate to say, but guys are more inclined to be attracted to girls that are slim/average than chubby. but even tho we're more attracted to them, doesn't mean we won't like girls who are chubby. my ex was pretty chubby imo, 5'0 at 120lbs (unless she was lying about her weight ><). i liked her for her personality, even tho i admit i am more attracted to thinner girls. but that's all it is, attraction. in the end, it's all about personality.

the same could be said about girls tho, too, right?

From what I've seen, it's just girls who aren't "chubbier" than the guy that's considered a turn-off.

It's the overall appearance that matters, and if being chubby takes away from it, then being chubby is a bad thing.

I'm abit on the chubby side, and my husband loves exactly how I am. He dislikes stick-thin girls. It really depends on the guy.

My sister is [or was] on the plumpier side, but she still has a bf.
She wasn't exactly a chub though.

I hope she doesn't see this...

I know a lot of guys who prefer a pretty face over a slim figure.... in fact I'm sure MOST of my guy friends feel that way.

if there are guys going after slim girls, why wouldn't there be guys interested in chubby girls.

that's like saying, "guys don't like brunettes. they only like blondes."

most guys? aka the guys that you know?
yeah, buddy. your friends don't make up the entire male population.
you can't speak for the entire male population.

once a guy matures...he'll realize its what makes him comfortable that'll be best so looks and weight and what not won't matter as much anymore
There's no use looking back or wondering
How it could be now or might have been

I think a lot of the people responding on this thread are seriously deluded, unless they aren't being very articulate about their ideas.
Most of the guys I know would prefer a pretty chubby girl over a fugly skinny one any day. I guess maybe because I'm defining chubby as curvy with boobs and a butt and hips and full cheeks. And if she looks womanly with a pretty face... what's there not to like? Yeah, skinny girls can be gorgeous too, I'm not saying anything about that, but being "chubby" shouldn't be a turn off, especially if she is comfortable in her own skin and knows how to own that look.
What is "chubby" to you all?
