That's true, NYC is a great city but it has its pros and cons. Seoul is a great city as well but I believe Seoul has more pros than cons ..... both cities have amazing transportation but the subways in NYC make me sick whereas the subways in Seoul, they are much more cleaner and doesn't have strange people wandering around in the stations. Seoul is also safe, and I'm going to assume that for Tokyo as well. I've walked alone at night in both cities and I sure felt much safer in Seoul than I did in New York City. For housing costs, I have no clue which city is more cheaper/expensive. I guess it depends by which part by part in the city.

If I really were to choose though... hm... maybe Asia. I've went to Tokyo and Hong Kong before; I loved it there.

Transportation in asian cities would be much easier, I think.
But I prefer english over any other languages. I'd have to learn that city's/country's language if I want to live there.
I think I'll try major asian cities for a bit, and then back to major North America city.
I'd ideally like to retire in Canada.

You've already had a positive experience staying in Seoul, so why bother coming back to the states? I'm under the impression that expats are concentrated in certain areas there so unless you have a compelling reason for leaving, why go through the trouble? Or at least stay for a couple of years before moving back to avoid buyers remorse.
And I don't buy your friendly Seoul drivers story. I arrived at Inchon International, departed for Seoul, and thought we were racing the Daytona 500. People honking, weaving in and out, and speeding recklessly. Compared to NYC, I'd say ease of transportation is about the same, but doesn't Seoul have bullet trains now? Might have to reassess.

Chicago is love.
Major US city. Love the feel and look of it. Preferably east coast.
Honestly, any big city will have it's goods and bads. Too many generalizations here. And I don't believe that all Seoul drivers are friendly. I know at least in Shanghai and other major Chinese cities (based off of my experiences), there is a high high chance you'll get ripped of off if you're not a native.

I've lived in NYC all my life. When i went back home, it was like my sinuses cleared lol. It's not as crowded as Hong Kong. The train kinda sucks though, gotta wait a long time if its not rush hour. ;[
but we got everything here. Good food from all over the world, great shopping. the best
traffic is TERRIBLE. Drive to manhattan at your own risk cause you'll never get there and you'll never get a parking spot.
Brooklyn is love.

what i love<3
