i had the LG Cookie before, and currently have the Samsung Star now but the model I have has wifi so i def. think that is a plus. The Cookie was nice but it looked too plasticy and kiddy for me, the Samsung Star has more gloss to it and looks more elegant. They are both pretty the same in terms of functions but the Star has wifi which is better for me. Also the touchscreen qwerty on the Star is more easier to use and the stylus is more comfortable to hold than on the Cookie.

i was debating whether to get the star or the cookie when i was in HK.
The price for cookie now is cheaper cause it has actually been out longer (about a year i believe).
It also as a more "toyish" look to it compared to the star. It's basically not as sleek.
i don't have the wifi which is a big bummer. very upset about it.
i could write chinese(simplified and traditional) and english.
it comes w/ a built in stylus.
and has a touch qwerty keyboard(cookie has the same i think?).
it sorta is annoying the fact that you can have a good surface to text w/ while ur walking/not looking. but thats the same for all touch phones.

And yep, Star has simplified Chinese but doesn't have Korean which seriously ticked me off. -___-'' I was hoping it can read and write korean since its a korean phone but it doesn't. So sucks. But aside from that, this phone is love! :3

i personally would not recommend this phone to anyone, unless you are really tight on budget and just want a new phone, and touchscreens are the way to go these days lol. It is also very very light and fairly thin with a nice sized screen ^^. The sound is pretty good too, this is coming from someone who used to use Sony Ericsson Walkman phones, it`s obviously not as good as the Walkman phones (can`t really say that about the recent ones though *sighs* but i`m going off topic) but isn`t too shabby either ^^

theeres a wifi version in all the colors, black, pink, white, silver.
i havent found any websites that sell them besides eBay but on eBay you have to be careful and look for the ones that has WIFI in the title.
the best thing you can do is go to an independent/asian cellphone store that sells unlocked phones and ask them for it, if not they can definitely order it for you.

i meant the actual phone store, owned my usually asian people haha.
i think it depends on where you are located but in california there is chinatown la and other cities with high population of Asians have those stores too.
I saw a white one with wifi at the store, but instead of Samsung it says Anycall on it.

oh i see. i live in the east where there the closest phone store is 2 hours away. i think i'll wait for the white one to come around in maybe 4-5 months. i think by then i'll find another phone lol
