Well I wanted to at first...but then when I heard about getting side effects or something, I don't want to anymore.
My mom wants me to get it on Monday afterschool but I'll just get the normal flu shot.

I never get the regular flu shot so I don't see this as any different.
Yes people have died, but those are some of the few.
How many other deaths do we not know about?
It just happened the media caught onto this H1N1.
I realize I may catch it, but the vaccine is too new and there are those
who have had negative side effects - enough to make me not want to be vaccinated.
It was only just created recently right?
Also, wasn't there a strain of H1N1 back in the 70s? I heard those aged 40-50 should be immune to this strain.
What ever happened to the vaccine they created back then? And why was a new vaccine created?
Faulty? - or not fully confirmed as safe or effective? - Just speculating.

Meh, I'm not going to get it because I don't trust it.
I think my immune system is strong enough because I don't get sick easily..
Edit:
sleep.gif My stupid parents FORCED me to get it.
Made me so freaking mad.

I got it 2 days ago biggrin.gif

I just have to say: "better safe than sorry"

if your area offers it, you should get it. not much harm in getting it, and it didn't hurt at all. honestly, it felt like less than a pinch. it hurts wayyyyyy less than getting bloodwork done. so, the people who are afraid of needles, it's really not bad at all. everyone should try to get it, not just for themselves but also for the safety of the people around them~

I really don't like vaccines and don't think people should get them.
My advice is to just avoid them.

No, I'm not getting it. I think this whole H1N1 thing has been overhyped - apparently between 250,000 and 500,000 die each year from the seasonal flu, and so far, only 6,000 people have died from H1N1. To me, it's insignificant.

Not to mention I never get the regular flu shot, yet I can't even remember the last time I got sick with the flu. Plus who knows what the side effects can be. I trust my immune system to keep me healthy.

i'm required to because i work at a clinic, but i really, really don't want to. just got a memo today though saying there's a national shortage so the mandate got suspended biggrin.gif honestly, the whole thing is overhyped, it's not that diff from the seasonal flu, which i got a shot for (again, stupid mandate) and that's the farthest i'd go.

Personally, I think that everyone's being too paranoid about H1N1. I wasn't initially going to get it because of the hype, but meh, I got it in the end because I'm travelling soon. S:
So far, no side effects besides a sore arm and a headache. (:

QUOTE (Rainbow-lotus @ Oct 31 2009, 10:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
H1N1 is a new type of flu i believe, actually the people who died from it were healthy people.

Your immune system shouldnt be immune to it yet.

I'lll be getting the regular flu shot for this year.

H1n1.. i probably wont

Some of the people who died from it were healthy people, but most people who get H1N1 are fine. This is a new strand, so some people, even healthy ones, are going to die unexpectedly. Healthy people can die suddenly from a lot of common illnesses, simply because everyone's genetic makeup is different that leaves vulnerabilities for some otherwise healthy people to die from viruses or bacteria most people can fight.

I never get flu shots, and I have had the flu....once in my lifetime that I can ever remember. Yet my friends who get the flu shot ever season have gotten the flu multiple times. I prefer my method of prevention...I try to get enough sleep, stay hydrated, wash my hands, exercise and eat vitamins such as C, D, and omega-3 fatty acids. And I also am not paranoid of germs! Heheh...

I'm not going to.
I just think it's like any other flu/cold so I'm just gonna take medicine if I get sick.

I went on Saturday morning to get my seasonal flu shot & H1N1 vaccine...
They ran out of seasonal flu shots and H1N1 shots and I have asthma so they recommended me not to take the mist.
I thought I had first priority since I have asthma, I guess not.

As of this moment, I'm pretty indifferent. But lately, my mum's really keen on getting the family vaccinated.

I'm not going to get the vaccine.
I feel that since the vaccine was so high in demand in such short notice, it won't be very effective.

I also keep thinking that the vaccine will turn people into zombies. xD I watch too many movies.
