My mom wants me to get it on Monday afterschool but I'll just get the normal flu shot.

Yes people have died, but those are some of the few.
How many other deaths do we not know about?
It just happened the media caught onto this H1N1.
I realize I may catch it, but the vaccine is too new and there are those
who have had negative side effects - enough to make me not want to be vaccinated.
It was only just created recently right?
Also, wasn't there a strain of H1N1 back in the 70s? I heard those aged 40-50 should be immune to this strain.
What ever happened to the vaccine they created back then? And why was a new vaccine created?
Faulty? - or not fully confirmed as safe or effective? - Just speculating.

I think my immune system is strong enough because I don't get sick easily..
Edit:
Made me so freaking mad.

I just have to say: "better safe than sorry"
if your area offers it, you should get it. not much harm in getting it, and it didn't hurt at all. honestly, it felt like less than a pinch. it hurts wayyyyyy less than getting bloodwork done. so, the people who are afraid of needles, it's really not bad at all. everyone should try to get it, not just for themselves but also for the safety of the people around them~

Not to mention I never get the regular flu shot, yet I can't even remember the last time I got sick with the flu. Plus who knows what the side effects can be. I trust my immune system to keep me healthy.

So far, no side effects besides a sore arm and a headache. (:

Your immune system shouldnt be immune to it yet.
I'lll be getting the regular flu shot for this year.
H1n1.. i probably wont
Some of the people who died from it were healthy people, but most people who get H1N1 are fine. This is a new strand, so some people, even healthy ones, are going to die unexpectedly. Healthy people can die suddenly from a lot of common illnesses, simply because everyone's genetic makeup is different that leaves vulnerabilities for some otherwise healthy people to die from viruses or bacteria most people can fight.
I never get flu shots, and I have had the flu....once in my lifetime that I can ever remember. Yet my friends who get the flu shot ever season have gotten the flu multiple times. I prefer my method of prevention...I try to get enough sleep, stay hydrated, wash my hands, exercise and eat vitamins such as C, D, and omega-3 fatty acids. And I also am not paranoid of germs! Heheh...

I just think it's like any other flu/cold so I'm just gonna take medicine if I get sick.

They ran out of seasonal flu shots and H1N1 shots and I have asthma so they recommended me not to take the mist.
I thought I had first priority since I have asthma, I guess not.
____ se7en years, still going.

I feel that since the vaccine was so high in demand in such short notice, it won't be very effective.
I also keep thinking that the vaccine will turn people into zombies. xD I watch too many movies.
