It's the largest non-profit student business organization in the nation. There are several conferences throughout the year where members can compete in business-related competitive events.
The national website! woo (:
I just got curious today as to how many soompiers are in FBLA. (:

I went to a regoinal competion for Word Processing 2.
I lost that one by a point ;\
I went to state in Introductory into technology concepts.
I won 3rd place.
I went to nationals in California for Computer science ethics.
got 2nd.
;]
I'm competing again this year at a regional for Computer Applications 2.
Some easy stuff for regional.
I don't get into the hard stuff unless i go to state/Nationals.

haha I'm from jersey too ! Yeah, there's really not much you can do for fbla except have a few meetings. We used to have fundraisers and stuff a few years ago, but since we've switched advisors its a lot more laid back.
States should be fun, we're doing business plan, so basically I've already submitted my stuff and am just going for the heck of it. And to meet up with some friends, of course.

The club's usually dead for the majority of the year because after the competitions are done, there isn't really anything left to do although FBLA gives out "challenges" year round like saving the environment stuff.
It sounds great on paper but not so much if ur doing it >.>
