Does anyone know the recipe to... THESE YUMMY hong kong style "eggettes" =P

Okay, i would like to take a wild guess that SOME of you soompiers must have eaten these at least ONCE in your life? haha
but we have the pan to cook these in, but recently, my dad lost the recipe and well, i was wondering if anyone knows the recipe to make this?
especially like, a recipe to have it taste as similiar to like.. the true uhh... hong kong style taste? LOL.

sorry, I don't have the recipe, but those are SO nice!
omgosh I haven't had them in ages ToT" and the ones 'round here don't taste that nice either >o<"
must go back to HK to have some..

edit: I um had a quick search on google and I found this...I don't know if it works though..

i always thought that it was just pancake batter made the same way like waffles only with different molds for cooking.

I think that is exactly it.
They just pour a"substance" on it and just let it cook w/ their special molder and turn it back and forth.
They use the same thing to make egg roll but on a different hot plate

its definitely a twist using pancake batter... but its not just plain pancake batter. cuz these taste more sugary and buttery.

I looove this stuff ; A; whenever we go to NY or big cities with Chinatowns, I always look for vendors selling them LOL I tend to hog the bag. It's my favorite HK snack everrr.

oh i LOVE these! they used to be my after school snacks my mom would get for my sister and i....aw i miss them from taiwan!

here's one recipe

Egg Puffs (also called as Gei Dan Jai, Egg Waffles, Eggettes or in Chinese 雞蛋仔) is a Hong Kong style waffle usually made and sold by street hawkers and eaten warm on the street. They are crisp on outside with a little layer of doughy-creamy texture on the inside, but the bubbles are hollow.

Egg, sugar and evaporated milk are used in the Egg Puffs recipes, giving them a sweet flavor. They are generally soft and not dense. Traditional Egg Puffs are full of the flavor of yolk. Sometimes different flavors, such as chocolate and honey melon flavor are used in the recipe and create various colors.

The batter is very thin and poured from the pitcher into Egg Puffs iron which is a two piece mold that is then closed and flipped around to distribute the batter.

The bags have little holes in them so as to prevent condensation from the heat.

Egg Puffs Recipes

Ingredient:

Flour : 4 ounces, Corn Starch : 1 ounce, Baking Powder : 1 teaspoon, Egg : 2, Granulated Sugar : 4 ounces, Evaporated Milk : 2 ounces, Water : 4 ounces

Method:

1. Sieve the flour, corn starch and baking powder first.
2. Mix the egg and the granulated sugar evenly. Then add the evaporated milk and water to the mixture little by little. Finally, add the powder. Keep stirring until the mixture becomes thick.
3. Heat your egg puff iron on the both sides, then rub some oil into the mold and pour the flour paste into it (80% full). Put the lid on the mold. Clamps the molds together tightly. Finally, heat both sides for 2 to 3 minutes until the egg puff is done.
4. Finally, use a fork to sort the egg puff out.
