Is it bad for one's health? and if a female crosses their legs frequently what does that mean? cuz, i cross my legs frequently because its comfortable and I get the most oddest looks from people. Almost like if it is inappropriate.

Also, when you're on your period, more comes out.
O_O

I cross my ankles, is that ok? I'd stop now.

QUOTE
A well-known heart specialist was asked, “When do most people have a heart attack?” He answered, “At a time they are sitting quietly with one leg crossed over the other.” When you sit, plant both feet squarely on the floor or a box if needed. Crossing your legs puts an unnecessary burden on your heart.

Not sure if it's reliable though.

If you do it while wearing a short skirt, then obviously you'll get weird looks because it would look inappropriate. Harharhar.
Unhealthy? Anything that makes you lose circulation has to be unhealthy. Just don't do it often. Close your legs, cross your ankles and put your feet at a 45 degree angle to the floor, that way you look ladylike without killing your legs.

I remember hearing somewhere that a problem can commonly arises in the pelvis area. Don't put so much trust on me though, I'm not too sure. I like crossing my legs, but more likely the lower part such as ankle. I can't help but to stay in that position, it releases my fatigue and gives me a relaxed and comfortable feeling.

it causes lower back problems because it lifts out the joints between your lower back and your pelvic region.
kind of 'unhinging' it in a way.
thats in the long term, you'll have lower back pain.

Well, from what my Mom used to say, she says it's not lady-like for girls to cross their legs with one leg over the other. That's what harlots do. jk. The proper way for girls to cross their legs is at the ankles. She was taught this back when she attended a top all-girls school in Hong Kong.

Doesn't matter to me because I don't cross my legs at the thighs. When I do that, I feel uncomfortable and numb since the circulation is being cut off. I usually either cross my legs at the ankles or sit with my legs spread out like a man. :]
