so i was reading up on the topic about holding hands and what it means to people
and it seems like people are saying that holding hands is a sign of " togetherness "
and when a couple wants to show others that they are official
me and this guy , we have feelings for each other and we hold and hands....BUT he's never officially asked me out......
should i assume that i'm NOT his gf?

hes probably just too shy to ask you out, but likes you

as has been said, holding hands is like talking without actually speaking, so its also a good way to avoid awkwardness

maybe you should just go ahead and ask him if u guys are official?

don't assume! just ask him.
because some people just hold hands while they have feelings for each other. but they aren't official.

You guys holding hands means that he likes you and all, but it doesn't mean you guys are officially together.
That maybe it's true
That I can't live without you
And maybe two is better than one
There's so much time
To figure out the rest of my life
And you've already got me coming undone
And I'm thinking two is better than one

Never assume anything!! You'll end up in pain if you assumed you're his gf but he still thinks you're his friend. =/ Talk to him about it. He might like you but is too shy to admit it.

Asking straight forward would be the least awkward way.

The first thing I did with the guy before my boyfriend was hold hands. We held hands for like, nine hours straight in a car ride to Atlanta, Georgia.
Three months later I find out he's just playing me anyways and enjoys the sex.
So, I wouldn't assume that holding hands actually means anything substantial, lol.

Like everyone said, ask him. Some people considering holding hands an intimate gesture so there's a good chance that he's really into you. Or he might be straight up playing you.
