honestly i would say that maybe she likes you but shes not sure. shes still confused if she should cross the line of friendship to a boyfriend. ive been in that kind of situation and i wasnt sure if i liked him more then a friend cause ive never thought about the guy more then just a friend. Honestly what i want a guy to do is just ask me out if they like me. dont try to play games or do stupid stuff with me just straight out tell me. girls dont usually ask out guys so you need the courage to just ask her out. if she rejects you its her loss not yours so dont take it personally. and if she really does reject you theres always more fish in the sea and your still young so dont worry! Hey man, its not pathetic, relationships are complex, too many variables, but imo, you should go for it, i mean, you've been crushing on her for some time now, and this could be the signal that you've been waiting for. I mean its been so long and you still have feelings towards her, that's pretty impressive, maybe she's tired of being in failed relationships(dunno if thats the case) and see finally sees that you could be THAT guy she's been looking for.

I've actually helped out a friend recently to try to confess to his crush, but it didn't turn out so well, but he moved on, that's the way of life.
