However, the v6 model wasn't able to touch me.

A little lackluster in actual driving though. I'd prefer something with better handling, more response, you know. Something that makes me feel like I'm really driving something fun.

its not that fun of a car to drive, along with the preemtive rev limiter which cuts your revs A LOT when you try to shift at redline.

If there's something wrong with your mind, you see a shrink.
But, when there's something wrong with your soul, you have no where to run to, but MUSIC.

but performance wise im not sure. I have difficulty just having a good seating position and its a big car. feels big too handling wise. it's hard to see around some spots and its just not as easy to drive as my car. the rear seats are complete garbage because the roof is too low back there and the chairs are too high. my guess is the gas tank is right under the rear seats.
this is the 3.8 liter btw.

still a Hyundai though.
RWD could be the reason for the cramped back seats.
hopefully the genesis rear seats can't be as bad as the g35.
Nobody ever wants to sit in the back of my g35

4B11 and Theta II is pretty different from each other. Intake and exhaust manifolds, timing and other stuff are different when comparing the genesis and evo engine. Hyundai designed the basic blocks of the engine. Mitsu and Chrysler each uses a modified version of the Theta engine.

Same design, different components. Majority of components are swappable. It's a World Motor engine. Simple.

But they're not the "same" engine.

uhh...ok
note to self. The 4G63 in a Mitsubishi Evolution is not the same 4G63 in a Hyundai Sonata.

Wait, so your gripe is the weight, yet you want a heavier engine?

Yeah that's exactly what I mean, although I can see how my comment may have come across as contradictory. I do a lot of highway driving so straight line performance takes preference over handling. The V6 struggles to trap above 100mph at the end of the 1/4 mile. The extra grunt of the V8 would more than make up for the added weight when it comes to acceleration.

A turbo'd v6 would be sufficient for highway trolling. The VQ engines in the infiniti's and nissans are nice, imagine what they would be like turbo'd yesh.
