I just got into a car accident (I rear ended somebody). When I got out of the car, I felt kinda pissed but not really scared. Yet, my legs were shaking noticably and I couldn't stop them. I guess it's a normal thing huh?

Btw, on a sidenote, yesterday I got a ticket and 10 minutes later. I got rear ended... then today I rear ended somebody. This is just freaking surreal, these past 2 days.

When you know that you rear ended another person's car, your legs obviously shake from fright because you know that you're at fault. Also, you should learn to drive carefully so you will not get marks in your driving record.

Yes because there would probably be an adrenaline rush, and accidents are scary.
You're safe this time, but not all accidents end up with people safe and sound.

when I got into a car accident ( the person hit me from behind...), I got out of the car and I couldn't even stand up. I had to sit down to absorb everything that happened. XD.

I'd say be careful because you don't want your insurance to go up. huh.gif

Yeah. When I was in a accident with my buddy, I was shaking. It's scary, of course they'll be adrenaline and shaking.

My older brother rear-ended someone when he first started driving. He was driving three people in the car (including me) when he wasn't supposed to since he was on restriction. Instead of paying attention to the road he turned around to say something to me and hit a car at a red light which hit a really big truck. He was 10mph over speed limit too. It was completely chaotic. The person in the truck had a heart attack and my brother's friend had burns everywhere on her face. She was bleeding out of her eye too. sad.gif *sigh* Teen driving.. He had so many tickets afterwards written for him. Then he got sued by the girl's dad.

Back to the point. It is completely normal. My brother was shaking and rocking back and forth. We couldn't get him to talk at all, he was crying and shaking so much. He was completely traumatized.

When I got rear-ended, I was absolutely fine. I was tense, but other than that I was okay. It might have been because I knew it wasn't my fault and no one was seriously injured.

I hope everything turns out okay for you!

Yeap, it's very normal to shake and fear to drive again. I remember when I got hit in the rear years ago, I kept looking in the rear mirrow for months after that, worrying someone will hit my car again.
