Well, you can use it to call... but that might destroy your phone bill... since you're using international calling rates.

Other than that, if you're thinking of using 3G or Wifi, that technology doesn't exist in Korea. I remember when my friend walked through a cellphone department store with his Iphone out and they treated him like a God.

You could bring it for snob effect. =)

Blackberries, yes. Ginger has one in Korea but you need to go through a special representative to get it, you can't go through the normal cellphone shops. Perhaps you can pm her asking about it. I'm assuming you're based in Korea btw. If you're bringing it over to Korea (from the US, etc.), I doubt you could call but (I'm assuming) you could use all of the wifi and ipod capabilities of the iPhone in Korea. Same with Blackberries (in terms of music). You won't be able to call without a large fee, like Sam Sik said, but there is wifi in Korea. Probably a very small percentage of 3G because most of Korea is CDMA.

you wont be able to use the iphone as a cell phone because it is a gsm phone and korea uses a cdma network. if you can get an unlocked cdma blackberry phone, then yes you could use it in korea.

iPhone has been announced to launch in Korea with KT. Blackberry is with SKT. No need to go through "special representatives" any more. They are now selling to the general public.

You may want to check out the Blackberry Tour since it's unlocked.
