after class, i was heading to work from school. get in my car, another car is waiting for my parking spot with the blinker on. I slowly start to back out and then see this elantra flying around the other car and bam, swipes my rear bumper. i stopped and got out of my car, he stopped... at the end of the parking lot. and got out. I looked at my car, just scratch that went to the plastic his car, looked like his bumper was pushed in and maybe fender bent a little. he said i poped out of nowhere but he was clearly speeding past the other car that was going to make a right into my parking spot.. anywho.. since it wasnt that big we just left. I have the license plate number but was in a rush to get to work. It's the bumpers in the same spot just scracthed to the plastic..


now should I file a claim? who's fault would it be? I read somewhere that most parking lot accidents are 50/50 responsibility? I'll post pics later.. ugh not a good month -.-

Should you file a claim? No. If the damage down to your car was relatively minor, I wouldn't even file a claim. It would not be worth the deductible.

If the damage is minor don't bother, waste of time. Accident faults are based on your word + his word + witnesses.

If you really wanna file a claim, I hope you have the person number that was waiting for your spot.

so it wasnt as bad as it looked.. got up early this morning, and got the car washed and took some scratch x just to see.. well ends up big black scratches were from his tire and just rubbed off thank god hahaha just a few deep scratches are left but yea.. doesnt look bad at all.. almost looks the same with the exception of 2 or so medium sized scratches haha.
