So I've gotten caught shoplifting a pair of mittens at UO... no police were involved; they took my information down and gave me a fine.

Does this go on my permanent record/count as a crime?

if the police didnt come then, your not getting anything on your record..i think if they catch you shoplifting again they would get your information from the store and tell the cops this is the 2nd time..so stop shoplifting its not worth it
