In my opinion, I think maybe she was just telling you something the way a friend tells another a friend a secret. Don't want to jump to conclusion so much. Sometimes when you like a person, you interpret many things wrong (but who knows if you may be right). ;D

I think you're friend-zoned. But since you have asked her out before, she knows you were at least once interested in her. So she's showing you the note to see your reaction and basically just to get some attention from you. Sorry to break it to you, but I don't think she likes you back.

@piaoyi I think I wrote it wrong, she has no idea I'm interested in her, and the person who rejected me last year is someone else. Also, fixed

Either way, I still don't think she has feelings for you. If she did, she wouldn't have shown you the note. For me personally, if I liked a guy, I wouldn't be trying to make him jealous by telling him that someone else asked me out. Instead, I will be telling this info to a friend...and you're now her friend. sorry. But that's just me, I don't like playing those mind games.

for me, i would probably do that if i liked a guy and wanted to make him jealous. hahah just to show him that i'm a hot commodity and that if he wants me he better get on it fast before i get taken by someone else. but that's just me.

From my perspective I think you are definitely in the friend zone. I usually talk to
my guy friends about things like that. Sorry to say but I think you're just reading the signals incorrectly.
She could be trying to make you jealous or maybe she's just consulting with you on dating/rejection issues.
Hold off on asking her out until you're pretty sure that she has feelings for you.

Good luck!

definitely friendzoned.

I think she just wants dating advice from a male friend that she trusts.
Otherwise, i don't think she would tell you about the note/excuse.
