Hi, in my accounting class, my teacher claims that I did not hand in the homework for Chapter 1-5 which I did and handed in (at once when it was due).
My exam scores are great (96 exam average so far), but I only have one homework handed in, according to her.
What can I do in this situation? I already replied saying I did hand the work to her and asked her to look for it again. If she can't, I asked if I could make up for it and not be penalized because I DID do the homework. It is really important because one chapter = one point on my average so assuming she can't find it, 5 points are off my average.
Has anyone ever been in my situation where the professor claims he or she can't find the homework you handed in? How did you deal with the situation? Is there no hope for me? T_______T

I've never really been in that situation, but it depends on the professor. If she is nice, then she'll allow you to turn it in again, especially since it seems you are a good student.
Off topic - I'm in accounting too, but all our homework is from online programs which sends the teacher our grades. I've never physically turned in homework before. interesting.

I always keep a copy of all my homework and turn only one in. If my teacher claims that I didnt turn it in, I turn in the second copy in... And if possible, when I turn in my first copy of the homework, I have a friend as a witness. hahaha Thats the best you can do... or go to the extremes and video tape everything you do. hahaha which is very crazyy. Oh and as the other soompier said, if your teacher is nice, then she will let you turn it in again without taking off points, considering your good grades. Good luck.
